At Southern Light Respite, our team of support workers take the time to get to know and understand each participant. We get to know your interests, and we get involved in them.

Whether it’s dressing up for cosplay, sensory play, versing you on the PlayStation or gardening, we do it with you!

Not just their support needs, but their preferences, routines, and what helps them feel at ease.

As a smaller scale NDIS provider, we pride ourselves on a more personalised approach. We build support around the person, not just add them to our books or fill a care ratio.

We offer an alternative to traditional NDIS respite, in a home-like environment where people feel genuinely comfortable. A warm, welcoming space where everyone can feel at home. 🧡

We’ve made some updates to the my NDIS mobile phone app. 🤳🏼

👉🏼 Update before 31 May 2026 to continue using the app.

👉🏼 When you open the app, a message will pop up and tell you what you need to do.

👉🏼 If you have automatic updates on, you don’t need to do anything.

If you don’t update by 31 May 2026, you can still visit the App Store or Google Play Store and download the latest version there.

🚩MYTH: You DO NOT need permission to explore and try a new NDIS service provider.

You don’t need approval to explore a better service provider for you. The main thing to check is your service agreement, as some providers may have notice periods in place.

If something isn’t working, or your needs have changed, you have the right to look at other options that better align with your goals and how you want your supports delivered.
