“Holistic” simply means looking at the whole person, not just one small part.

Instead of focusing only on a symptom or a single problem, a holistic approach considers the mind, body, emotions, lifestyle, and even the beliefs we carry. All of these pieces influence our health and wellbeing.

Think of it like a car.

Putting petrol in the tank keeps the car moving in the short term. But if you never service it, check the tyres, change the oil, or look after the engine, eventually problems start to show up.

A holistic approach is like giving the whole car a proper service. You’re not just filling the tank so it can keep going today. You’re looking at everything that helps it run smoothly over time.

It can be the same with our bodies.

Addressing a disease or symptom is often necessary and important, but sometimes it can be like putting petrol in the tank. It helps manage the immediate issue. Holistic work asks a deeper question. What is happening underneath that may have contributed to the body being out of balance in the first place?

Stress, unresolved emotions, nervous system dysregulation, and long held patterns can all place strain on the body over time.

When we begin to explore and gently work with those emotional roots, we support the body in moving from dis ease back into ease. That inner work can help create the conditions where true healing and balance become possible.

I'll go first...

My favourite way to connect with the outdoors is walking along the beach with my feet in the water. There’s something about that gentle rhythm of the waves that feels so calming. I love looking out across the gulf, feeling the sun on my face, the breeze on my skin, and just letting myself take it all in. In those moments I feel so grounded and so grateful. Grateful for the beauty around me, and grateful to live in a place where the ocean is part of everyday life.

It’s such a simple thing, yet it fills me up every time.

Nature has this beautiful way of bringing us back to ourselves. Whether it’s the ocean, a quiet bush walk, sitting under a tree, tending a garden, watching a sunrise, or even just stepping outside for a few deep breaths, it all counts. These small moments of connection can be incredibly nourishing for our nervous system and our wellbeing.

There’s something I’ve been quietly exploring lately that feels too good not to share.

As I align more deeply with Think and Grow Education and step into business partnership, I’ve been immersing myself in the world of solfeggio meditation… and wow. It’s powerful in the most gentle, grounded way.

You are the author of your own life story.

And as empowering as that sounds, it’s also confronting. Because it means I am responsible for my reality. Not in a blame way. In a power way.

No one else is holding the pen.

It’s easy, and very human, to drift into what feels safe and familiar. To choose the known over the unknown. To stay in patterns that might not fully light us up but at least feel predictable.

Safe can feel comfortable. Even when it’s limiting.

But if we want different, we have to do different.

A new chapter doesn’t write itself. It asks something of you. It asks you to question old beliefs. To step outside the roles you’ve outgrown. To take action before you feel completely ready.

That takes courage.

Courage to disappoint.
Courage to be misunderstood.
Courage to risk failing.
Courage to succeed.

Turning the page can feel daunting because you don’t know exactly how the next chapter will unfold. But staying in a chapter that no longer fits slowly chips away at you.

So maybe the question isn’t “What if it doesn’t work?”
Maybe it’s “What if this is the chapter where everything shifts?”

You are not stuck. You are choosing. And you can choose again.

Are you reaching straight for the scones and mini desserts… or do the little sandwiches win every time?

I’ll be honest — my sweet tooth usually takes over.

And if you love a beautiful High Tea, you are going to adore the High Tea & Talk that Kathy Zep Designs, Kerri Thorne and I are hosting at the gorgeous Olinda Tea House in the tranquil Dandenong Ranges, just an hour from Melbourne CBD.

This isn’t just tea and treats (although they’re divine). It’s heartfelt conversation, lots of laughs, and a room full of like-minded women talking honestly about embracing midlife, warts and all.

We’ll be sharing around passion, purpose, nervous system wisdom, creativity, and finding that sense of peace within yourself again.
