Professional house tiger.
Master in couch loafery.
Aficionado of bum smacks.
Keeper of the black toe beans.
Highly skilled in judgmental looks and singing the song of his people....
and as Lon stated "The worst giraffe ever".

Being the gentleman he is, he passed away suddenly without fuss, pain or fanfare, he stepped out of this mortal coil quietly in his sleep, leaving a Norman shaped hole in our family.

We're all heartbroken beyond belief.

Woke to the cackling of Kookaburras and the call of our local peacocks. To then be greeted by this view of a beautiful sunrise through the trees as I sipped coffee on my balcony.

The rest of the day could be an absolute s**t fight, but at least this 30mins was peaceful bliss.

I hope you all find your 30mins of bliss during the chaos of the day.

Today is also my Grandmother's birthday.
Some of you may have seen her photo featured at Witchwood Grove.

Witchwood Grove was a dedication to her and her tinker (Scottish gypsy) witchy ways and also to my ancestors (John and James Lindsay) who were persecuted as witches in the Paisley witchcraft trial in Scotland.
They were hanged and then burned along with 4 other "witches" on the Gallow Green in Paisley on the 10th of June 1697, which was the last mass ex*****on for witchcraft in western Europe.

A memorial built in their honour states :
"Pain Inflicted, Suffering Endured, Injustice Done"

The Lindsay family motto is:
Endure Fort. (Suffer Bravely)

While sitting on the deck of my little cottage and having a cheeky coffee I was visited by a Queen, King and a Prince.

These stunning peacocks are majestically walking through my garden, occasionally checking me out.

Peacocks are said to represent beauty, new beginnings, protection, self-expression, as well as a spiritual awakening and in the East they can be the symbol for power, strength, confidence, and even divinity.

Witchwood Grove may not be a physical store anymore, but maybe, that's because Witchwood Grove has always been a concept bigger than the confines of brick and mortar.
