SENSORY REGULATION GROUP

On Monday our occupational therapist, Cristiana and allied health assistant, Dempsey ran a sensory regulation group. This group provided participants with an opportunity to stimulate their senses and develop sensory and emotional regulation skills through play based activities.

The Positive Partnerships' Planning tool is an interactive online planning tool for educators, carers and therapists. The Planning Tool is used to help understand the different areas that contribute to the lives of our young people on the autism spectrum.

The Positive Partnerships' Planning Tool is based on the Diversity Wheel. The Diversity Wheel helps us to understand the strengths and support needs of diverse learners, including autistic individuals.

You may remember seeing posts about our school transition group "Get, Set, Go" at the beginning of the year. Last week this group reconnected to celebrate their first term of big school!

The Kinder Krew engaged in some science-based activities, spending time creating and racing balloon rockets! They explored glitter painting and read a funny story. We created some balloon animals too. It was lovely to reconnect after our January school transition group. We wish our Kinder Krew all the best for term 2!
