Remedial- Remedial massage is a complementary therapy that aims to treat muscles that are damaged, knotted, tense or immobile. Sports - Sports massage is designed to help athletes before, during and after training. It is useful for anyone who exe

rcises to increase flexibility, prevent injuries and help with healing after a sports injury. Sports massage is specifically tailored to different sports and sporting injuries. It is not a relaxing form of massage and can often be quite strenuous. It works by stretching tight muscles, stimulating inactive muscles and improving the condition of the soft tissue

Deep Tissue-Deep tissue massage is a massage technique that’s mainly used to treat musculoskeletal issues, such as strains and sports injuries. It involves applying sustained pressure using slow, deep strokes to target the inner layers of your muscles and connective tissues. This helps to break up scar tissue that forms following an injury and reduce tension in muscle and tissue. Relaxation-Relaxation massage is a smooth, gentle, flowing style that promotes general relaxation, relieves muscular tension, and improves circulation and movement range. Your therapist will aim to relax, revive and rejuvenate you at a massage depth that does not cause discomfort. Lomi Lomi- Only Female clients....Ka Huna – Lomi Lomi Massage and Bodywork is unique in its approach to dealing with the body, mind, and energy levels as a whole. Lomi Lomi Massage is far more than a regular massage. It eases and relieves your muscles, brings you into physical and emotional alignment, we work with releasing trigger points. Fantastic as a full body lymphatic massage which aides detox and generally a great way to improve your immune system function. The depths that can be reached with this style of massage are astounding. As it works greatly on rhythmically warming and releasing the muscle tissue fibers. A journey of sorts. An incredible relaxation massage therapy that takes you into a path of self-awareness and empowerment. Our sessions are tailored to your specific requirements. Many believe that the healing art of Lomi lomi was brought to Hawaii by the earliest Polynesian settlers, while others believe that it is deeply infused with the practice of ‘living aloha’ - a carry-over from ancient Hawaii and the mystical land of Mu. The Hawaiian lomi lomi massage can also be referred to as Kahuna bodywork. Benfits of Lomi lomi massage
Lomi lomi aims to treat the body and mind as one whole being. It is thought to:

release tension
assist blood and lymph flow
eliminate waste and stimulate toxins
rejuvenate the body
instil a sense of peace, harmony and wellbeing. Myofascial Massage-Myofascial Release is a safe and very effective hands-on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the Myofascial connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion. This essential “time element” has to do with the viscous flow and the piezoelectric phenomenon: a low load (gentle pressure) applied slowly will allow a viscoelastic medium (fascia) to elongate. Your therapist will use wax to help glide into the fascia rather then over. Using slow and sustained pressure, guided by your bodies restriction the therapist will sustain slight pressure until your body releases.

Ever wondered why you always have a stiff neck? Or why you always suffer from tight calves? Or even why your lower back always feels as hard as a rock after a long day at work? The answer lies in the workload of the muscles, and how that workload is shared across the board.

To put it simply, we have two groups of muscles in the body:

Postural muscles: like the upper traps, lumbar erector spinae, hip flexors and calves
Phasic muscles: like the gluteals, abdominals and deltoids.
Postural muscles. are the muscles responsible for holding you upright, and they require endurance over a long period of time. They are designed to keep up standing upright. The problems we find with postural muscles is their hyperactivity and overuse which can cause tightness and tension, particularly in the neck and lower back.

Phasic muscles are responsible for moving us. These are the explosive muscles; the ones we should be training to be stronger. Often the problem we find with the phasic muscle group is the exact opposite to that of postural muscles, they’re not used enough, so they become weak and inactive.

So why do postural muscles cause us so much pain? Often we talk about imbalances in the body and correcting the balance to restore the function. But what we don’t often talk about is the balance between the workload of the postural muscles and the phasic muscles. Tension and tightness in the postural muscle group can arise when they become responsible for both posture and movement, while the weakened phasic muscles wither away.

How do we correct this imbalance? At Release-It Massage and Moves we can release triggers, which will aid recovery in range of motion relieve pain and allow muscles fibres to restore back to normal function. We then assist with movement plan to assist in postural and muscle techniques strengthen what's weak and lengthening the tight areas.

Here's What Happens
Get out of Back Pain with Muscle Balance........

ReleaseIt - will Release Tight muscles and guide you with muscle balance techniques

When Your Muscles Are Out of Balance...

Simply put, a muscle imbalance occurs when one muscle (or group of muscles) works harder than they should... while other muscles... don't work hard enough!

As a result, you can experience host of problems including lower back pain... sore, achy joints... poor posture... chronic fatigue... low energy levels and MUCH more!

You see, the muscles in your body work in balanced symmetry – much like the wheels of a car.

When the wheels are out of balance, you'll begin to notice uneven wear on the tires.

The car will start to pull to one side... you'll get poor gas mileage... and you run the risk of doing permanent damage, or a complete tire blowout!

The same is true with the muscles in your body. When some muscles don't function as they should, the others have to pick up the slack. And that throws them completely out of whack.

And when your muscles are out of balance, they pull your bones and joints out of their normal position – and this places them under constant and uneven stress and strain.
