🌏🤱 World Breastfeeding Week 🤱🌏

This week, we celebrate World Breastfeeding Week — a time to raise awareness, offer support, and share education around infant feeding.

Breastfeeding can be a beautiful and important part of a child’s development — and for many families, it’s a journey filled with learning, love, and sometimes challenges.

As a team of paediatric health professionals, we’re here to support families in whatever way they choose or need to feed their babies. Because feeding is not a one-size-fits-all experience.

Play skills are fundamental for developing interpersonal (social) skills essential for school readiness. Some of these social skills can include communication, collaboration, negotiation, empathy, understanding and sharing.

On Friday our clinical team completed our First Aid and CPR course with Central West First Aid Training⛑️

Collectively, our team decided it was one of the most engaging and informative mandatory trainings we have all completed!

Before the session started, Chloe said to us “First aid starts with you guys” and it’s so true. Living rurally, it can take a long time for paramedics to reach us. Training in First Aid and CPR can help us all feel confident to deal with situations that arise.

Chloe also tailored our training to include paediatric specific care and guidelines, as we all wanted to feel confident helping our little friends in the community too 🤸

If you want to feel more confident in your ability to provide First Aid to your littlest loves, the team at CW First Aid also offer Paediatric First Aid courses!
