Today is National Sorry Day. A day to acknowledge and honour the strength, resilience and ongoing journeys of Stolen Generation survivors, their families and communities. We also recognise the lasting impacts of forced child removal and the ways these continue to affect First Nations children, young people, families and communities today.

At headspace, we believe every First Nations young person has the right to access culturally safe, inclusive and healing-centred support.

If today brings up difficult feelings, support is available. Visit the link below to explore support options.🖤💛❤️

today is Global Accessibility Awareness Day ♿✨ a time to think, talk, and learn about accessibility and inclusion

this year’s theme, “Design, Develop, Deliver”, reminds us that accessibility should be built in from the start 💚

have you heard of the curb cut effect? 🛣️
the term comes from the small ramps built into footpaths for wheelchair users. by removing barriers for disabled people, society created benefits for everyone else too, from parents with prams to travellers, cyclists, and delivery workers
captions, audiobooks, audio announcements, high contrast design, fidget toys, and weighted blankets were all created to support disabled people, but are now used by millions of people in everyday life 📱🎧

accessibility isn’t “extra”, it’s good design ✅
when disabled people are included, everybody benefits 💚

Image ID: A poster for Global Accessibility Awareness Day featuring the theme “Design, Develop, Deliver.” The background is light gray with colorful abstract shapes in the corners. In the top-left corner, there is the GAAD logo with the text “Global Accessibility Awareness Day” and the date “21 May 2026” in dark blue on a pale turquoise shape. In the top-right corner, the white “headspace Orange” logo appears on a bright green shape. Centered across the middle of the poster is the bold black text: “Design, Develop, Deliver”. The lower half of the poster contains a photograph of a pedestrian curb ramp with yellow tactile markers for accessibility. A person using a white mobility cane is partially visible walking near the curb. END ID
