Great news about the progress of the new palliative care beds at the Orange Hospital. The artist’s impression of the courtyard reflects the green spaces we have always wanted.

There will be new cuddle beds for families.

Justice For Biddy has reached 11,000 Signatures! 9,000 to go! Thank you NSW!

But we still need your support. Sign, share and advocate for Biddy Porter!

Biddy’s parents are calling for Parliamentary Inquiries into the NSW Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions’ (DPP) handling of the case against Biddy’s self-confessed killer and the Mental Health Review Tribunal’s (MHRT) lack of transparency and accountability; reform of the
Department of Communities and Justice Victims’ Support Services (VSS); and a Coronial Inquest into the circumstances surrounding Biddy’s death.

Let’s continue to help Biddy’s parents achieve justice for Biddy with the support of Philip Donato and Advocacy Australia. Please sign their petition today, share our posts and download a supporters kit!

Loved having a coffee with Linda Westmoreland yesterday. Linda is from Bribie Island, and she and the Bribie Island Quilters group have made 4 beautiful quilts that they have donated to Orange Push for Palliative for the Palliative Care Unit. 3 of Linda’s close family were cared for on our Palliative Care Unit & she was very keen to show her support & appreciation. Thanks Linda for thinking of us!

Today we, OP4P, met with Minister for Health Ryan Park in Orange. We had a very productive talk and he was impressed with our small but mighty group!
When Vice President Janice Harris represented us at the Premier & Cabinet meeting in Orange in May, we had a similar reception. Minister Park was interested, well-informed and supportive of palliative care. Our local MP Phil Donato facilitated both meetings - thank you Phil!
Minister Park offered us immediate financial support for our work in the Palliative Care Unit. He offered to fully fund 2 family ‘cuddle’ beds for families who would like to have cuddles and snuggles with their loved one at this very sad time.
We have recently had a number of young families where the extra wide beds would have been great. Each of these beds is worth $30,000.
Thank you Minister!
