Please be advised that ear syringing is available at Orbost Medical Clinic which is a great service to the community. This service is available by appointment only and requires a dedicated 30-minute booking with both a GP and a Nurse in our treatment room. We do not accept walk-ins for this service.

To ensure clinical safety, an initial GP assessment may be required, and patients must use ear wax softening drops for three days prior to the procedure. Because not all of our GPs perform this service, please clearly state you are booking for ear syringing so we can schedule you with the correct team and allow for necessary setup and cleaning time.

Please call our reception between 8:30 am – 5:00 pm to plan your care in advance.

About FluMist:
FluMist is a TGA-approved Live Attenuated Influenza Vaccine (LAIV) administered via a gentle nasal spray. It offers an effective, non-invasive alternative to traditional injectable vaccines for patients aged 2 to 17 years. The vaccine contains weakened virus strains that stimulate an immune response without causing the illness itself.

Clinical Guidelines
- Ages 2–17 Years: Requires a single dose.
- Administration: Must be performed by a healthcare professional; this vaccine is not available for home use.

Scheduled Power & Network Outages

Please be advised that Orbost Regional Health including Orbost Medical Clinic and the Urgent Care Department will be experiencing a series of power and network outages that will impact our ability to provide services. During these times normal operations will be limited.

Outage Schedule
All outages are expected to occur between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM on the following dates:
- Today, Thursday 23rd April
- Thursday 30th April
- Thursday 7th May
