HASHTAG VAN-LIFE 😉

While not quite living in their vans, our clinical team certainly do get around as they complete community-based trials and handover appointments all over WA!

Here we have Jess, one of our OT superstars, getting ready to handover a new Josi stroller (this one has been fitted with the all-terrain wheels as part of our beach pack 🏖️)...

The days when we get to deliver much-awaited items that help with independence and/or fun are ALWAYS the best 🙌

BACK STAGE PASS 🎟️

While our workshop assistant Marcos may be one of the less familiar faces in our team, the role he plays is vital!

Behind-the-scenes he's ALWAYS busy doing something - from making sure demo equipment is accessible for our clinical team, to unpacking boxes to building strollers, activity chairs and walkers.

Marcos is also passionate about sustainability and he champions it in our day-to-day operations. He's a master at re-homing the large volumes of bubble wrap and other packaging materials that we receive via our local buy-nothing page! ♻️💪🏽

THE BOSS (unofficially, but true 🤭)

If you've visited us in recent years Sophie will be a familiar face. She's also often the cool, calm voice at the end of the phone helping to troubleshoot breakdowns and schedule emergency repairs.

Sophie runs a tight ship and is a master juggler. In addition to providing a warm welcome and responding to general enquiries, she manages our technicians' calendars, overseeing modification and repair bookings and keeps the rest of the office whipped into shape.

Fun fact... Sophie is HUGE Freo Dockers supporter so if you need to ask a favour (...or post a photo of her 😉) the best day to do that is after they've had a win!! 💜

We'll kick this off by (re)introducing our PWC guru Clint and OT Olivia!

This is also the 'behind-the-scenes' spot where our clinical team spends A LOT of time. It's a work area we all use to get equipment set up in advance to ensure trial and scripting appointments run smoothly (and why we ask for referral forms to be completed in advance!).

CHAMPIONING FUN...AND INNOVATION

Give us an opportunity to talk clever A.T., innovation and clinical reasoning and we'll take it! 😉

This year for the ATSA Independent Living Expo we wanted to share our passion for opening doors and unlocking potential. We enjoyed getting to have some robust conversations about this (alongside the everyday A.T. we supply) with visiting therapist colleagues and equipment users.

It was also great to be able to showcase a hand-picked line-up of stellar items from:

A big thanks to our team, because we did split shifts at the expo this year we didn't manage a full group photo. And of course, a massive shout out to our admin + workshop teams who kept things ticking over back at base! 🙌🏼

It's been *quite* some time since we 'introduced' our team, so we recently made everyone jump in front of the camera...school photo style!

This photo might help to put faces to names that are familiar to you - introducing our Admin team!

While not everyone gets to see this team doing their thing every day, it's safe to say that they are the powerhouse that keeps Motum moving forwards! They turn scripts into quotes and funded quotes into equipment, as well as being the first port-of-call for repair bookings and general enquiries.

Here's our Workshop team! They are responsible for assembling new equipment and completing repairs. They are also master troubleshooters and creative thinkers who help to bring to life custom solutions for the unique needs of many of our clients.

JOSI-GO, GO, GO!

We were excited a few years back when the Cerebral Palsy Alliance in NSW reached out to see if our Josi-Go stroller might be suitable to use for their annual Krazy Kosci Klimb fundraiser. We knew they'd grown their fleet of them since that first year because they worked so well, but we were so delighted to see so many of them in action in this video of this year's climb!

Hudson's story is a great, heartwarming one. And while the Josi-Go is very much just an "extra" in it, the stroller does exactly what assistive technology is meant to do - by helping people to unlock potential in their lives 💪

While the Motum vans are (VERY!) regular visitors to the South West, we're really chuffed to be able to be able to better service the region and mark this as a new Motum milestone... We've certainly come a LONG way since opening our little Wembley-based clinic room in early 2014! (Scroll for a little blast from our past!)

BABY INCOMING....GOOD LUCK JEN 🩷🍼✨

Today we came to together to celebrate our much-loved physio Jen as she prepares to welcome her little lady and head off on parental leave 😭💕👋🏼

Her energy and can-do attitude will be missed by all around Motum HQ BUT we are so excited for her as she begins this next adventure!

🥳 2024 OVER + OUT!

It's always a lot of fun when we get to come together to celebrate the end of a busy year, and yesterday was no different.

✔️ Party clothes on
✔️ Plenty of good food + a festive tipple (or three)
✔️ Lots of laughs, especially at the Motum team-themed Evil Santa (Kym's rules, obviously)
✔️ A seriously great bunch of people (just missing Sue and Dale from the shenanigans this year 😭)

We had all of the ingredients needed for an excellent end of year wrap party! (And, this year it seems, also for ...IYKYK 😜)

A big THANK YOU and FESTIVE WELL WISHES to all of the individuals, families, therapists and suppliers that we've had the privilege of working alongside in 2024. As always, your support and trust in us makes our work so rewarding. We all love doing what we do. 🙏🏼
