Wheely cool news for Sydney-siders. We are excited to be able to offer clients receiving supports with At Home Care a game-changing resource: a wheelchair-accessible van, perfect for Community Access shifts. Whether it’s attending appointments, running errands, or enjoying outings, this van makes it easier than ever for clients to get out and about.

Our accessible van is designed for comfort, convenience, and inclusivity, accommodating one wheelchair user, two passengers and a driver.

Clients can use their NDIS Community Access funding to cover the cost of the van - enjoying the convenience of accessing the community without the need for additional out-of-pocket expenses.

Words from our team πŸ’™ "I just wanted to take a moment to sincerely thank you for the continuous support, guidance, and opportunities you’ve given me throughout my journey as a support worker. I truly feel grateful and indebted for the trust you’ve placed in me and for allowing me to grow in this role.

The various training sessions and development opportunities you’ve provided have been incredibly valuable. Each one has helped build my skills and confidence, particularly in supporting clients with high care needs. I’ve grown so much both personally and professionally, and your support has played a significant part in that.

Thank you once again for believing in me and investing in my growth. I’m proud to be part of this team and look forward to continuing to contribute wherever I can."

Outstanding recognition for Karen, our Senior Engagement Coordinator.

πŸ’œπŸ’› Light up, light up πŸ’œπŸ’›

To mark Brain Injury Awareness Week 2025, landmarks across Australia will be lighting up purple and gold, a powerful visual reminder that invisible disabilities deserve visible change.

From bridges to city halls, each light-up is a beacon of awareness, solidarity, and advocacy for the over 450,000 Australians living with a brain injury.

Purple and gold were chosen as the official colours of Brain Injury Awareness Week to symbolise both the strength of those living with brain injury and the hope and visibility we are working to create.

πŸ’œ Purple represents resilience, courage, and recognition of invisible disabilities. It reflects the emotional strength required to live with, and support those with, a brain injury.

πŸ’› Gold symbolises hope, visibility, and the value of every person affected, illuminating the path toward change, support, and understanding.

Illuminating landmarks across Australia sparks discussions and raises awareness about brain injury. When more landmarks shine in purple and gold, it turns the invisible visible and educates the public.

Join us in spreading awareness by visiting a lit-up location near you, taking photos, and sharing them on social media using .

On this magnificent Monday, we're revisiting this memorable moment! How magical πŸ§œβ€β™€οΈ

Emily is a member of the At Home Care family who loves all things mystical and magical, from witches and wizards to – you guessed it – mermaids! πŸ§œβ€β™€οΈβœ¨

Emily and her Support Worker, Ann recently visited AQWA The Aquarium of Western Australia to explore the magical marine life. Needless to say, Emily couldn’t wipe the smile off her face when they stumbled upon a real-life mermaid!

We hope your weekend is just as magical ✨
