Spinal Cord Injuries Australia are looking for a Casual Peer Support Coordinator Opportunity in Perth.

ℹ About the Role

The Peer and Family Support team works within spinal injury units in Sydney and in the broader communities of NSW and Perth. Our purpose is to support people who are newly injured as they regain independence, adjust to life post-injury, and improve their overall wellbeing.

The team draws on lived experience to provide practical, real-world guidance to people with spinal cord injuries and their families. This may include:

💙 Sharing personal insights to help individuals navigate early recovery
💙 Supporting the development of daily living skills
💙 Helping families understand and adapt to changes post injury

The Peer and Family Support team are active in the community, keeping up to date with the latest equipment, assistive technology, products, and services. Whether it’s accessing care, modifying a home, or exploring transport and mobility options, our team connects people with SCI to the right supports while offering judgment-free guidance tailored to each person’s unique experience.
