Last year our focus during the conference was to bring new products and ranges in the pharmacy. 🛍️

This year our focus was to expand and improve our clinical services, and optimise our workflows 👩‍⚕️👨🏻‍⚕️💡

We’re redesigning how prescriptions flow through the pharmacy so we can provide more personalised pharmacist care while you wait ⏱️💊

Last weekend we hosted a small Grand Opening celebration at Ouyen Pharmacy 🎉

It was our way of saying thank you 🙏 to the many people who helped us reach this milestone, to showcase our new facilities, and a chance to bring together key healthcare partners to explore how we can work even more closely together for the benefit of our community 👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️💊

A special thank you to Jade Benham MP for officially opening the ceremony, and to representatives from the Pharmacy Guild Victoria Branch and The Pharmaceutical Society of Australia (PSA) who joined us on the day. It was fantastic to demonstrate the innovations and investment that is occurring in our small town to help re-balance rural health inequity.

💬 As Pharmacist Alex (A1) shared in his speech that Ouyen Pharmacy's vision for the future was to transform from a mere retail shop... into a true health destination for the community 💜 with expert advice, and convenient clinical services.

Ouyen Pharmacy's new facility now includes THREE (3) clinic rooms to support MORE visiting health services and pharmacist-led care than ever before!

Also, both Pharmacist Alexs A1 and A2 are currently studying 📚Pharmacist Prescribing through Monash University .

Expanded clinical skills + modern facilities = more healthcare services, closer to home for our rural community. 🌾💊

RWAV supports clinicians to strengthen healthcare in rural and regional communities 🌏🏥 This scholarship is a massive vote of confidence in the evolving role of pharmacists in Australia 🇦🇺💊👩‍⚕️👨🏻‍⚕️

It’s recognition that pharmacists play an increasingly valuable role in our health network🤝…delivering accessible, timely, high-quality care right here at home 🏡🐑🌾🚜

This is the new face of pharmacy, where we are a health hub for patients to conveniently access primary care.

For a little fun, we did name our rooms. The Netflix 🎥 series “Money Heist” is one of A1’s favourites. In the show; the main characters assume city names. And we thought that was just too cool 😎

So… introducing:

✅ Tokyo clinic room 🇯🇵 - where we will do our vaccinations and host visiting clinicians
✅ Seattle clinic room 🇺🇸 - (think… sleepless in Seattle 🤣) where we will focus on sleep apnoea and respiratory medicine)
✅ Zurich clinic room 🇨🇭- where we will conduct most of our medication reviews.
