Use a repellent containing DEET or picaridin and apply it evenly to all exposed skin. Reapply regularly, especially if you are sweating or swimming. Wear long, loose, light-coloured clothing and closed shoes. Keep in mind that mosquitoes can bite through tight clothing, so fit matters. Try to limit time outdoors in the evening when mosquitoes are most active.
