Your mental health is just as important as your physical health and wellbeing and should be treated with the same level of importance. Every year, September is recognized as Mental health month/Suicide prevention month, with Thursday 11 September 2025, marking this year’s R U OK? Day.
This National Day of Action encourages Australians to check in with others and start meaningful conversations about mental health and wellbeing.
The 2025 theme, ‘Ask R U OK? Any Day’, reinforces the message that every day is the right day to reach out to someone who might be struggling. R U OK? Day shines a spotlight on the importance of connection and having conversations with people you care about all year round.

Your mental health is important, and it matters, it only takes a minute to ask, "R U ok?". Check in on your loved ones every once in a while- it may just save their life.
It is okay to not be okay but never be ashamed to reach out for help when you need it- you are never alone.

RUOK Day is one day of the year, but life happens all day, every day. If you're ready to really listen, you can start with a simple "R U OK?" and offer to listen, or even just to sit in silence. Sometimes it makes all the difference.

Everybody gets headaches from time to time, but did you know that there are different types of headaches and that chiropractic care can relieve?
By realigning the spine, chiropractors can take pressure off nerves and blood vessels, providing relief from headaches and migraines. Regular chiropractic care can help to lessen the frequency of migraines or headaches.

In addition to spinal adjustments, chiropractors may recommend lifestyle changes to help people find relief from headaches and migraines. Some of these changes can include:
- Keeping a healthy sleep pattern
- Eating regular, balanced meals
- Taking breaks from screens to avoid eye strain
- Manage stress through relaxation methods such as meditation and yoga

Don't wait until it's too late, look out for your spine and give us a call today to book in for an adjustment!

Let's face it, we all love a good night's sleep or an afternoon nap on the weekend, but what are some ways to achieve healthy sleep?
According to the Australian Chiropractors Association, some tips for healthy sleep are:
Supportive Bedding: Select a mattress that offers a combination of support and comfort to maintain your spine’s health. Ensure your pillow aligns your neck with your spine.

Optimal Sleeping Position: Sleeping on your back or side is typically better for spinal health than sleeping on your stomach. If you prefer sleeping on your side, place a pillow between your knees to minimize strain on your lower back.

Consistent Sleep Routine: Aim for a regular sleep schedule by going to bed and waking up at the same time every day. This helps regulate your body’s internal clock and improve sleep quality.

Did you know giraffe have the same number of vertebrae in their necks as a human? Sally recently had a chance to get up close and personal with one at Canberra Zoo. She was also lucky enough to pet a Cheetah and check out his spine! 😃
