✨ New Medicare support for menopause care ✨

As of 1 July, GPs can now offer a rebateable consult to support women navigating perimenopause and menopause.
This is a long-overdue step in recognising the real impact of menopause on physical, emotional, and mental health — and ensuring women can access the support they deserve.
Whether it’s hot flushes, mood shifts, sleep disruption or just feeling not quite yourself, you’re not alone, and you’re not imagining it.

Our GPs are here to help. Ask us about the new menopause health support available through Medicare.

That lingering cough? Here’s what you need to know.

It’s common for kids to keep coughing for 2 to 3 weeks after a viral infection – even if they’re otherwise feeling better.

A lingering cough for up to three weeks is usually normal in children following a virus. Over-the-counter cough syrups have not been proven effective, and most coughs don’t require antibiotics. However, if your child has other symptoms or you’re concerned, it’s always best to check in with your GP.

Could a simple scan save your life?
Lung cancer is Australia’s leading cause of cancer-related death – but early detection can make all the difference.

Launching in July 2025, the National Lung Cancer Screening Program offers free, low-dose CT scans to catch lung cancer before symptoms appear.

You may be eligible if you:
✔️ Are aged 50–70
✔️ Don’t currently have symptoms of lung cancer
✔️ Have smoked the equivalent of 30 pack-years (your GP can help you calculate this)
✔️ Are still smoking or quit within the last 10 years

Not sure what 30 pack-years means? Your doctor can walk you through it based on how many ci******es you smoked and for how long.

If you have symptoms, don’t wait for screening:
– Persistent cough
– Coughing up blood
– Unexplained shortness of breath
– Unusual tiredness or weight loss
– Chest or shoulder pain that won’t go away

Book an appointment online on our website today to talk about your risk, symptoms or eligibility. Let’s protect your lungs – together.

Respiratory viruses love to share – and they don’t play fair. As we approach peak flu season, now is the time to protect yourself and those around you.

The National Centre for Immunisation Research and Surveillance (NCIRS) recommends becoming a “triple threat” against serious respiratory infections by staying up to date with these key vaccines:
✅ Flu
✅ COVID 19
✅ RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus)
Also, don’t forget about other important vaccines, like those for whooping cough and pneumococcal.

Reduce transmission by:
- Staying home if you're unwell.
- Washing your hands regularly with soap and water.
- Practising good respiratory hygiene (cover coughs/sneezes with a tissue or elbow).
- Keeping up to date with vaccinations to protect yourself and others.

Whether you’re eligible for one, two, or all of the above vaccines, we’re here to help you stay protected.

Book your appointment online today and head into winter with confidence. Got questions? Our doctors are happy to guide you through your options.

While spring gets most of the attention, autumn in Sydney can bring its own set of allergy triggers – especially for people with hayfever or allergic rhinitis.
Cooler, drier air, indoor heating, mould and lingering pollens can all play a role in flare-ups. If you’re reaching for tissues more than usual, you’re not alone.
Here are five ways to manage symptoms this season:
– keep windows closed on windy or high-pollen days
– shower and change clothes after being outdoors
– vacuum regularly using a HEPA filter
– check indoor spaces for mould and damp areas
– speak to your GP about your treatment options.

You don’t have to suffer through sneezing, congestion or itchy eyes all season long. We can help find the right treatment plan for you.
Book your allergy or hayfever consult online now.

08/05/2025

We’re urging our community to stay informed after a recent measles alert from NSW Health. A confirmed case was infectious while visiting several locations in Sydney’s eastern suburbs earlier this month.

Measles is a highly contagious disease that spreads through the air via coughing or sneezing. Symptoms include:
- fever
- runny nose
- sore eyes
- cough
- red blotchy rash that starts on the face and spreads to the body.

If you develop these symptoms, please contact your GP, and let them know before visiting to minimise exposure to others.

Protect yourself:
- Ensure you’ve had two doses of the measles vaccine (MMR).
Government-funded catch-up vaccines are available for anyone born after 1966 who hasn’t received both doses.
- If you’re unsure about your immunity to measles, think you may be at risk or have any concerns, we recommend checking your records or contacting us for guidance. Vaccination remains the best defense against measles outbreaks.

If you think you or someone you know may be infected, or if you have any concerns, please call us on (02) 9072 1660.
