Natural and effective support to achieve optimal health and well being,

It took me till I started studying naturopathy to learn that those little nags and “normal” discomforts are not normal and can be avoided AND prevented with a change in lifestyle and diet. My goal is to educate and empower people who are looking to change for a better lifestyle, embark on a healthy journey or just stay up to date on health and nutrition.

Making birth creams today.

I use this during labour for the lower back and sacrum to help muscles soften, manage discomfort, improve circulation in the tissue and support the body to relax rather than tense.

Massage, pressure, warmth, smell, support - all of these things can make a big difference in labour.

Birth is hard work & women deserve support while they do it. (Labour & Birth Cream available for purchase at TGS)

As the seasons shift, it’s worth taking a moment to support your body before the colds and flus begin circulating through the community.

Simple things can make a real difference.

Drinking herbal teas such as calendula and thyme, using fresh and dried herbs generously in your cooking (garlic, onions, ginger, parsley, thyme, basil), and ensuring that key nutrients such as vitamin D, zinc, iodine and iron are in a healthy range can all help prepare the immune system for the cooler months ahead.

This is also a good time to adjust the rhythm of your evenings.
Seasonal transitions often call for slower nights and earlier rest.

The most powerful immune support we have is still the simplest one:
good, restorative sleep.

Small seasonal adjustments now can help your body stay well as the environment around you changes.

Comment ‘Fear’ to find ways we can support you in addressing what is holding you back from feeling ready and empowered for birth.

The nervous system does not relax into the unknown if it is carrying unspoken fear.

When fears about birth or our capacity as newborn mothers stay hidden, they often appear in labour as tension, control, or overwhelm.

But when a woman has the chance to explore her fears and to speak them, understand them, and feel supported with them - then the body responds very differently.

A woman who understands herself stops constantly questioning herself. Comment WISE to learn more about my online program where women reclaim their health and bodies and wisdom.

If this speaks to you and you’re preparing for birth, feel free to send me a message. I’d be happy to share how I work with women around these deeper layers of pregnancy.

Birth asks a woman to step into the unknown.

Not just physically, but emotionally and psychologically.

If fears remain unspoken or unexamined, they often show up in labour as tension, resistance, or overwhelm.

But when a woman has the space to explore her fears, to name them, understand them, and feel supported with them, something shifts.

She enters birth not fearless, but aware, resourced, and trusting herself.

Processing fears is not about eliminating them.
It’s about creating enough inner safety to move through the unknown.

And that changes the whole experience of birth.

A few moments from today’s pregnancy workshop ‘The Deeper Story of Pregnancy & Birth’ at The Gathering Space.

This is not a typical birth preparation workshop!

We explore the deeper dimensions - the parts that are rarely spoken about but shape how a woman meets birth, motherhood and her creative self (we can birth more than babies in life - projects, crafts, business etc).

How our own stories, imprints, values, and expectations influence the way we move through pregnancy, labour, and early motherhood.

When a woman understands herself more clearly, she is far better able to recognise what she needs, communicate it, and move through birth with greater awareness and steadiness as she becomes the Woman’s she needs to become for the next stage in her life.

Thank you to the women who joined today and contributed to such a thoughtful space. My heart is full.

When I get to talk about the outcomes and the feedback and the experiences of the women who go through WomenWise I feel so excited, because I 100% live and breathe what I teach, and taking women on the journey is incredible every time. Health is a noisy place and I feel we have an intimate place here to move through what matters in the most personal way to each of the women. If you’re a woman wanting to reclaim your body, feel great and energised - and live in a way that honours ageing and the changing body - then I’d love to invite you to read more and reach out if this is for you. Our Story

I’m Anna-Maria Boelskov, Nutritionist, Herbalist, Birth Doula and mother. I have a profound respect for natural medicine and I see daily benefits when this is put into practice. In my own life as well as when working with my patients, I go back to basics and use food as medicine. When the body needs a little extra guidance to get back into balance, I use herbal medicine and nutritional supplements for extra support. I believe that preventing ill-health and maintaining wellbeing on a daily basis is better than cure. That is why I always work to find the underlying cause of my patients’ symptoms to restore health at a cellular level. That helps prevent recurrence and ensures a deep and long-lasting solution.

Having been through pregnancy, labour, birth and breastfeeding, I have a passion for women’s health and for providing them with the best information and support they need to go through life. It is a miracle every time new life is created and when you know the ins and out of the actual process, it’s truly a spectacular process! I work with women of all ages – and their families – and help educate them about their bodies and making the right choices for optimal health and wellbeing. I educate women through pregnancy Support them during birth and post-birth, and I support them to get back on track while breastfeeding. I love seeing women being in control and enabling them to enjoy these different stages. Feeling strong and healthy will help you have a beautiful experience.

When you come to see me, I go through your diet and lifestyle and any acute or chronic conditions you may have. I then suggest changes to restore your body’s health and together we find a way to implement these new changes so that it is easy for you. The changes include diet, lifestyle, sleep, exercise, supplements etc. I work in with orthodox medicine and at times a blood pathology test may be needed to see what is happening at a cellular level. For example, a test is often requested to look at iron, calcium and/or vitamin D levels, cholesterol and hormone balance, to mention a few. Follow-up consultations are scheduled, lasting 30-45 minutes, to check the progress of the plan, make further adjustments and give ongoing support.

I started my studies in Sydney at the Australasian College of Natural Therapies to embark on a life as a Naturopath. I now hold an Advanced Diploma of Nutritional and Herbal Medicine and I am a registered practitioner with the Australian Traditional Medicine Society (ATMS). I do continuous courses and seminars to upgrade my knowledge and stay up to date on the newest research in the profession. Additionally, I am a certified birth doula with Childbirth International and I am currently finalising my course as a Lactation Consultant.
