It’s actually more miraculous that women can give birth where they feel scared, uncomfortable or even out of control.

The fact that birth keeps working so often even in the less than optimal conditions is a testament to the wonder of it all.

However, if you want to help yourself, and make it as easy as possible, please connect with these questions.

Really think about how you feel about giving birth and do you feel safe? If you don’t or you have reservations please consider what you can / what needs to change to help you feel you can let go completely. It is never too late.

I support women with complex birth planning and this is the foundation of all the decisions.

It can be helpful to find someone who is familiar with the pathway, so you can navigate the way thats right for you.

Reach out if you want more info about how I can support you with making a plan that works for you.

This tidbit seems to surprise people every time! How did your labour start? What was the pattern of rhythm throughout?

This tidbit seems to surprise people every time!

How did your labour start? What was the pattern of rhythm throughout?

Just wait. Oh I waited! I waited and waited and it is just as amazing as I always hoped it would be. Just wait.

Birth planning isn’t filling out a template.

It’s understanding what matters to you, how birth works, and how to navigate the system around you.

So you can make decisions that actually fit you.

This is what we do in a birth planning consultation.

As much as it might feel reassuring or comforting to think there is that one magic product that will help you give birth, the truth is actually much more interesting.

Imagine how it feels to know that the world is much wider and there are so many more options, and whats more, with this knowledge you will find the perfect way to work with your particular labour.

“Hoping” for a normal physiological birth is not quite as effective as doing any one of these 3 things… (or all of them if you want to maximise your chances).

18/03/2026

So you wanna have a normal, physiological birth?

Get these three things sorted and your odds are way above average.

Birthing your placenta without medication or intervention is an option for women to choose for themselves.

If you are wanting to have a ‘physiological third stage’ or birth your placenta naturally just keep in mind the hormones of labour are the hormones of birthing your placenta.

Placental Birth is Birth.

Keep it undisturbed.

Early pregnancy appointments can feel efficient.

Information. Forms. Tests. Timelines.

Sometimes you leave feeling clear.
Sometimes you leave feeling slightly outside yourself.

There is a difference between being the centre of care
and being the object of it.

A protected space keeps your voice intact.
A monitored space can slowly move authority outward.

Both can look identical.

The difference is whether you felt like the decision-maker.

Ever felt you were too much? Too little? Too loud then too quiet?

It might be that you’re a woman in a female body…

Feeling the tides and seasons shift.

If you want to know the map to your inner world contact me.

When did we lose trust in what we feel in our body? What would it feel like to just listen to our senses?

When you found out you were pregnant did you feel you needed a blood test or ultrasound before you really “believed it”?
