Looking forward to education and collaboration, catching up with colleagues in Melbourne 👁️

I’ve loved being part of the Program Steering Committee for Focus 2026 - a symposium bringing together leading ophthalmologists across Australia and New Zealand to discuss the latest advances in cataract surgery and refractive lens technology.

I’ll be moderating a session on Unlocking Visual Potential - The New Era of PCIOLs, and sharing my own experience with presbyopia-correcting lens technology, including recently released IOLs that I’ve had the privilege of using since November 2025, at the ANZ official launch 🚀

This kind of peer collaboration and shared clinical experience is how we keep pushing the standard of care forward for our patients.

Today I’m celebrating the incredible women around me this International Women’s Day.

Especially my three amazing sisters - strong, intelligent, generous and supportive women who inspire me every day. I’m so lucky to have them beside me through life.

But if I’m honest, what I really wish for is a future where days like this aren’t needed.

Where women don’t have to stand out simply for doing what we love.
For being surgeons.
For earning PhDs.
For being mums.
For building careers and raising families.

I don’t want it to be extraordinary, I want it to be ordinary.

I hope one day women doing what they love, leading, building careers and raising families is simply normal life - and where they don’t carry most of the load most of the time.

Until then, I’ll keep celebrating the remarkable women around me.

Happy International Women’s Day 💫

🎧 Honoured to be featured on the Cataract Coach Podcast with the brilliant .devgan, a true leader, educator, and innovator in ophthalmology ✨

We spoke about finding your path, leadership in surgery, and how the field of cataract and refractive surgery continues to evolve. It was such a privilege to share ideas with someone whose teaching has influenced surgeons around the world.

I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity and for the thoughtful conversation. If you’re a surgeon, trainee, or simply curious about the art and precision of modern eye surgery, this one’s worth a listen 👁️

✨ Modern cataract surgery keeps getting better, and I’m grateful to be part of it. For the past months I’ve been using the new Alcon Unity phacoemulsification system at Cura Day Surgery Hospitals, one of the first centres in Australia to trial this technology.

The Unity system from makes surgery more efficient and uses less ultrasound energy inside the eye - meaning clearer corneas, faster recovery, and excellent outcomes even in the densest cataracts. 👁️💡

It’s always an honour to operate for people from all walks of life - from nurses in our day surgery team 🩵, to parents of optometrists🙏, and even a fellow driver from my car group✨. Some of you know cars are one of my hobbies 🏎️, and restoring crisp vision for great (and safe) driving makes the work feel even more rewarding

Every day I’m reminded what a privilege it is to give people back one of life’s greatest gifts: vision. 🌏👁️💙

Thank you to Alcon for your support
