This week, our clinic celebrates the many small roles each individual team member - receptionists, nurses and GPs - plays in supporting the health journey of our patients.

Most importantly, we say thank you to one another. Providing excellence in GP care can be challenging when health, emotions and suffering are so deeply intertwined. Nevertheless, it remains incredibly meaningful work - and it’s what has kept us going for the past 43 years serving the Cardinia community.

We hope this evening’s celebration continues that legacy for many years to come. Photos from this evening’s event will be shared next week, so keep an eye out 😊

We’ve recently introduced BuzzyBee to help make vaccinations more comfortable for children and needle-anxious patients.

We also continue to bulk bill children 15 years and under because we believe every child deserves access to quality GP care.

We’re so pleased to welcome Dr Caryn Tay to Lakeside Square Medical Centre.

As a GP-owned clinic caring for our community since 1983, we’re proud to be a team of independent GPs who value thoughtful, high-quality care. Dr Caryn is known for her gentle, thorough, and personalised approach, and her style of care fits so naturally with what we stand for.

Many patients in the area may already know Dr Caryn, and we’re really glad she’s found a home with us - a place where she’s supported to care for her patients in the way she believes in.

Dr Caryn is currently consulting every Saturday, with the possibility of weekday sessions as her books fill.

At Lakeside Square Medical Centre, we offer dedicated skin cancer checks and excisions, led by Dr Richie Yumdo, who has undertaken additional training with the Skin Cancer College Australasia.

Dr Richie provides:
• Full skin cancer checks
• Skin cancer excisions
• Ongoing monitoring and follow-up care

Dedicated clinic every Tuesday afternoon, allowing focused time for skin assessments and procedures.

Lakeside Square Medical Centre is looking for a caring, capable practice nurse to join our supportive, close-knit team.
We’ve been serving the Cardinia and Casey community since 1983 and are proud to remain GP-owned and operated, at a time when many clinics have become corporatised. Our focus has always been genuine, relationship-based care for our patients and a respectful, collaborative workplace for our team.

We’re known locally for:
Excellence in GP care across all ages
Strong teamwork between doctors, nurses, and reception staff
Being an accredited training site for GP registrars and medical students, helping shape the next generation of doctors
