Charlie’s Support Services Angels will be closed Friday 26th September in observation of the Public Holiday for the AFL Grand Final! We congratulate both teams that made it to the big day and wish them an enjoyable game!

Charlie’s will reopen on Monday 29th September from 9am!

SEPTEMBER is National Su***de Prevention Month – a moment that serves as a powerful reminder that there are steps we all must take in looking out for loved ones, the people in our community, and those who have been impacted by this leading cause of death.

This would have to be a truly ‘one of a kind experience..’ 🐄 🎨 🖼️

GLOW COW ‘paint and sip.’

The lights are turned down, and the glow paint starts flowing with good tunes turned up. The perfect winter paint and party vibe. Follow along or glow your own way! Create your own masterpiece that GLOWS in the Dark! How much does it cost? $50 pp

The studio is BYO drinks and nibbles and they supply all art materials. There will be UV lights in use and glow in the dark Paint.

Minimum age is 18

$50.00 per person + booking fee, 16inch x 12 inch canvas to take home

Penny will assist you step-by-step through the whole process , no experience is required! , sip your favourite beverage, nibble on your favourite snack and we’ll handle the rest.

They provide all glassware, paper plates, fridge, ice and bottle openers. They do not sell or provide any food or drinks in our studio. All art materials are included!

This week we acknowledge National Stroke Week 2025 held from Monday, August 4th to Sunday, August 10th.

National Stroke Week encourages the community to know the F.A.S.T. (Face, Arms, Speech and Time) signs of stroke so that they can save a life.

The F.A.S.T. test involves checking for:
✔️ Face: Is there drooping or asymmetry?
✔️ Arms: Can they lift both arms?
✔️ Speech: Is their speech slurred or difficult to understand?
✔️ Time: If any of these signs are present, call 000 immediately, according to the Stroke Foundation.

At Charlie's Support Services Angels Pty Ltd, we believe that investing in our staff is investing in our participants. That's why we're always looking for ways to upskill and stay informed about the latest changes in disability support. We have strong industry consultations which helps shape us on the daily.

In August 2024 we underwent a two-stage audit process to become an NDIS REGISTERED provider. In May 2025 that registration was granted. We are now a proud NDIS registered provider.

We are now tracking toward the commencement of registering as a My Aged Care provider.

We know that the best way to provide top-notch support and services is to stay on top of industry changes and developments and be a strong contributor across the demographical age groups.

It's all part of our commitment to providing the best possible support to our participants and clients 🩷🖤

July is Disability Pride Month❣️

Disability Pride Month happens every year in July to promote awareness, celebrate people with disability and encourages self-acceptance and embracing all disabilities.

The Disability Pride Month has its own flag, with its own meaning behind it.

The five colours represent:
• Green – Invisible and undiagnosed disabilities
• Blue – Mental illness
• White – Sensory disabilities
• Yellow – Neurodiversity and development disabilities
• Red – Physical disabilities

Disability Pride is a movement intended to celebrate the history of the Disability Rights movement and disabled people as positive contributors to society. It marks a break from traditional concepts of disabilities as shameful conditions, which were often hidden from public spaces and mainstream awareness. Disability Pride is built upon the social model.

This week we acknowledge and celebrate NAIDOC Week 2025…

The theme this year is "The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy". This theme marks the 50th anniversary of NAIDOC Week and celebrates the achievements of the past while looking forward to the future, emphasising the role of young Indigenous leaders. It also highlights the importance of honoring the legacy of ancestors and the strength of Indigenous culture and communities.



The traditional owners of Melbourne are the Wurundjeri Woiwurrung and Bunurong/Boon Wurrung peoples, both part of the Kulin Nation. Their connection to the land dates back thousands of years. As our work spans across Melbourne, Charlie's Support Services Angels Pty Ltd pays its respects to all Elders past, present and emerging.

This means that we can take on participants that are agency managed and accept referrals for Support Coordination/ Recovery Coach as we have this on our scope too! Plus so much more….

Today is MND global day!

On June 21st every year is MND/ALS Global Awareness Day. MND/ALS Associations across the world use the day to raise awareness of the disease to the general public.

The day is also used to express hope that one day there will be a turning point in the search for cause, treatment and cure of this disease.

The blue cornflower (Centaurea cyanus) is the symbol of hope for MND around the world because of its fragile appearance but hardy nature. Like the cornflower, people living with MND show remarkable strength in coping with this devastating disease.
