We are so grateful to Mark for sharing his experience with Kare ONE! For over four years, he has trusted us to be a part of his life and his words truly inspire us.

Here’s what Mark had to say:

“I have found Kare ONE to be reliable and understanding. They are important in my life, but also for my friend Cheryl, as it gives her a break.”

Mark’s main support worker, Sean, visits twice a week for activities like:

🏊 Swimming

🎣 Fishing

🛍️ Shopping

☕ Drinking coffee

Sometimes, they even tackle some gardening together! 🌿

“Sean is understanding, a great and positive person to be around. We can chat about anything and he makes me feel relaxed. He knows when to encourage me to push me a little out of my comfort zone.”

Mark also highlighted how our communication and personalised matching make all the difference:

“Kare ONE are an excellent company and always communicating if things change. If Sean is away, they find a replacement, but won’t just send in anyone. They take my needs into consideration. This is important to me.” ✅

𝐇𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐝𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 🤍

We are deeply honoured to have supported Dean and his beautiful family through his journey with Motor Neuron Disease (MND). 🕊️ With their heartfelt consent, we share this story to highlight the profound meaning of true care.

When Dean was diagnosed at 38, life changed unimaginably for him, his wife and their two teenage children. For two years, our mission was to make life easier, providing stability and compassion during an incredibly challenging time.

We carefully selected a care team that was not only skilled but deeply compassionate and adaptable. They were:

🌿 Diligent and mindful: Always respecting Dean's dignity and the family's space

🤝 A trusted partner: Communicating openly with his wife and checking in consistently

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Support for the whole family: Understanding the unique needs of everyone, including the teenagers

Our care did not end when Dean passed away. The team continued to check on his wife and children, because to us, they will always be part of the Kare ONE family.

We are forever grateful for their trust. As his family shared, "Kare ONE are not just a service provider, but they actually do care and live up to their name".

Hearing that we have been a trusted partner for a decade is the highest compliment we could receive. We are so grateful to clients like Rufus who have shared their journey with us.

Rufus has been with Kare ONE for about 10 years and here’s what he shared:

For over nine years, we have had the joy of working alongside Angelo’s mum Luisa, to provide support that allows Angelo to thrive. At the age of 35, Angelo is a social man who loves a good adventure and our team is dedicated to helping him live life to the fullest.

Together with his mum, we assist Angelo with:
🏠 Personal care and respite
📆 Attending appointments
🤝 Accessing the community

From bowling and dancing at the disco to discovering new walking tracks and riding trains, we are there to support his active lifestyle.

Luisa shared: “Kare ONE is just wonderful! They are down to earth, loving and supportive. I love how all my carers treat my son with nothing but love and respect... We are treated as humans and not as just a number. They are like family to us.”

“Jodie and her team are amazing! Always willing to help, approachable and try to go that extra step.”

While the event wrapped up earlier this month, the energy and connections we made are still on top of our minds. We are so grateful to everyone who stopped by the Kare ONE stall to share their stories, ask questions and learn about how we support holistic wellbeing for everybody.

A huge thank you to the organisers and the entire community for creating such a powerful and inspiring space. It was a true reminder of the strength and resilience within this community, and we're honoured to be a part of it.
