Two more temple visits including climbing the inside of this tower with an amazing view. Then a prayer and offering at our “local” temple and of course a visit to the famous temple 🚽, lol! Yesterday I arrived in Bangkok. On my way to the hotel I used one of the river boats which was a lot of fun. Then my friend and tour guide Laxman showed me beautiful temples and a huge lying down Buddha which we could go inside. And today we went on an absolutely green island (in the middle of BKK) cycling around which was a lot of fun! Plus we saw the beautiful Ganesha Temple. Thank you Laxman, it was an awesome day and great to connect! 👌

Arunachalaeswarar temple is the biggest Shiva temple in India. Here Shiva is worshipped as Arunachalaeswarar. The temple complex covers 10 hectares and this gateway towers, known as gopurams, in the first photo is 11stories, 66metres or 217feet high. The original construction dates back to the 9th century with some dynasties adding after that. Pretty amazing and ancient. And still very much a place of worship and pilgrimage everyday. Visiting this beautiful temple feels very special. 🙏💛🙏

Happy Guru Purnima, this is the full moon dedicated to one’s Guru/teacher. Here in Thiruvannamalai I have just finished the 14km walk around the holy mountain of Arunachala, along with a few thousand other people. With gratitude I thank and honour all of my teachers. 🙏⛰💜
