As many of you are aware, patrols have now wrapped up for the season. While the weather is cooler, we know our beaches are far too beautiful not to enjoy throughout winter.
If you’re visiting the beach during the off-season, here are a few important things to know:
Emergency Response Beacons remain in place at the Pambula River Mouth and Merimbula Bar Beach. These beacons provide a direct link to our State Operations Centre, who can task our Emergency Call Out Team — volunteers who remain on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
If you are at a location away from a beacon, call 000 and ask for Police.
The Pambula Surf Life Saving Club clubhouse also has:
• An external defibrillator (AED) available for public use
• A newly installed shark bite/trauma kit mounted on the beach side of the clubhouse next to the defibrillator
Remember to Stop. Look. Stay Alive. before entering the water this winter.
A huge thank you to all of our volunteers for another incredible patrol season. Pictured are some of our members on their final patrol for the season.
