At Paraburdoo Medical Centre we promote comprehensive and thoughtful medical care for the whole family. We work hard to keep up to date with the latest medical information. We provide a range of services including
• Diagnosis and treatment of short term and chronic illness.
• Minor operative procedures including vasectomy and Implanon
• Travel advice and immunization
• Men’s and women’s health checks
• Skin Cancer checks and treatment.
• Botox treatments
APPOINTMENTS
Please report to the Reception desk with your Medicare Card on arrival and notify us of any changes to your personal details. If you cannot keep your appointment, please cancel as soon as possible. Standard appointments are for up to 10 minutes. If you feel you will require more time please ask for a longer appointment. We will endeavor not to keep you waiting but medical practice is unpredictable and we apologize if you have to wait. You are welcome to ring the surgery and check before
FEES
This Practice is a private billing practice. Fees include the Medicare payment and a gap fee. The Medicare Rebate can be immediately reimbursed. Payment at the time of consultation is expected and can be made by cash or using our card facilities. Fees are on display in the Surgery. Accounts will only be raised in special circumstances and will attract an accounting fee of $12.00. Our trading terms are strictly 14 days. If the account has not been paid in full within 14 days legal action will be taken to recover the funds and further legal fees will apply. Our Surgery offers bulk billing to Pensioners and HealthCare Card holders.

Dear Community,

We wish to remind you that the Paraburdoo Medical Centre will be closed from Saturday, December 20th, to Sunday, January 4th. We will reopen on Monday, January 5th, 2026.

We encourage you to book an appointment in advance with Dr Mike Forster, where possible. Dr Forster will be returning to Paraburdoo from December 8th to December 19th.

During the closure, the community will still have access to healthcare options:

- Tom Price Medical Centre – Available for in-person visits (open every day except Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year’s Day).

- Telehealth consultations – Where clinically appropriate, telehealth appointments may be available with our onsite doctor at Tom Price Medical Centre.

- Tom Price Hospital – A doctor will be available every day as usual over the Christmas period.

- Paraburdoo Hospital – Open as usual.

Tom Price and Paraburdoo Medical Centres are expanding our team and seeking enthusiastic Medical Administration Assistants. We welcome applicants with general administration or customer service experience, with no medical background required. Full training is provided; however, these roles would suit applicants already residing in Tom Price or Paraburdoo, as housing is not provided.
