Dr Alex Smith FRACGP, FACRR:

Dr Alex was born and raised in Brisbane and completed his medical degree at the University of Queensland. Alex completed his internship at the Gold Coast Hospital and for 5 years worked in rural communities of Charleville and Quilpie. Whilst in Quilpie he was the solo doctor for a community of 1200 and looked after the 10 bed hospital. He successfully co

mpleted the Fellowship of the Royal College of General Practice and Fellowship of Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine. asthma, diabetes, heart disease, paediatrics. Dr Amanda Smith MBBS MPH MBA:

Dr Amanda is a medical graduate of Sydney University. Her early post graduate years were completed on the Central Coast of NSW after completing further specialist paediatric training at the Royal Aexandra Hospital for Children in Sydney. She spent 10 years working in community child health focusing of improving child development and immunisatoin programmes whilst completing her Masters in Public Health. She moved to SE Qld in 1995 and has been in General Practice ever since. Dr Amanda has a strong public health and preventative medicine focus with special emplasis on womn and children's health and healthy lifestyle choices. She also is a member of the International Society of Travel Medicine. In her spare time she is the Senior Medical Office for Queensland Raceways. Paradise Point Surgery also has a Full Time Registered nurse. BILLING POLICY:

We are a mixed billing practice. WE BULK BILL - DVA Card Holdres, Connession Card Holders and patients under the age of 16 years. Please note a fee will be charged for your initial consultation for which you may claim a Medicare rebate. Ongoing consultations are bulk billed with the excemption of matters which do not fall under the Medicare Billing policy. Also Full Body Skin Checks attract a fee of $100 and a rebate is available from Medicare. Repeat prescriptions require a consultation or telephone consultation with your Doctor. Lost referrals for specialist, pathology and radiography will require an appointment to be recreated/printed. CONTACT DETAILS:
