Cycling Without Age - Gold Coast

Accredited volunteers, award winning, safe, fun, dementia friendly and without barriers.

A volunteer community group offering an enjoyable activity for seniors and people with disability by providing FREE rides on adaptive bikes in beautiful locations. Cycling Without Age is a not for profit charity which provides a community service by connecting those no longer able to ride for themselves with their community and the outdoors. We give free rides in comfort and safety on trishaw eBik

es and bikes which carry non-motorised wheelchairs, piloted by volunteer cyclists. With value-based guiding principles of generosity, relationships, slowness, story telling and with dignity, all rides are FREE.

The volunteers are amazing and such a good idea, I take my clients on these rides as it gives them a sense of going on a bike ride and some have never ridden one or been on one for decades and the views are amazing.

One of our lovely volunteers and her furry co-pilot took a scenic drive to Regatta Waters Lake today—sun shining, breeze dancing, and smiles all around. 🚲✨ What a night!
The Cycling Without Age Gold Coast team had an incredible time at The Big Bike Film Night at Home of the Arts.
A huge thank you to Brett Cotter for curating such a powerful and inspiring lineup of films that reminded us why we ride—and who we ride for.
We’re so grateful to our amazing friends and supporters from Community Bank Gold Coast North and up2u_apparel for sharing the evening with us, and to Cr Shelley Curtis for joining the celebration of all things cycling and community.
It’s nights like these that fuel our mission to connect generations, honour carers and volunteers, and keep the joy of cycling accessible to all. 💛

They said it was the highlight of their trip — and it only happened because a volunteer made time for them.

🚲🔧 Are you our next Trishaw Tinkerer and Gear Guru? 🔧🚲
Cycling Without Age Gold Coast is looking for a fix-it legend who loves tools, bikes, and keeping things rolling smoothly.
Our trishaws bring thousands of smiles every month, but they need regular TLC to stay in top shape and keep everyone safe.
That’s where you come in!
We’re looking for someone who can:
✅ Spot when things don’t look quite right
✅ Tinker, tweak, and repair with confidence
✅ Coordinate bigger fixes when needed
💡 The hours are incredibly flexible, and we’re proud to say we are a Centrelink-approved organisation.
We don’t have a fancy workshop (think more seaside breezes than shiny benches 😅), but what we do have is an incredible team and the joy of knowing your work helps people feel the wind in their hair and the freedom of a ride.
If you’re handy with tools, can volunteer at Paradise Point, know your way around bikes (or are super mechanically minded), and want to make an unreal difference, we’d love to hear from you!
