The Australia Government wants to review Disability Discrimination Act.

If you want to give feedback on how we can be protected through the Act, please see below.

The Australian Government is reviewing the Disability Discrimination Act. They want to make sure it is working to protect people with disability.

This review is a response to recommendations made by the Disability Royal Commission.

The Government is asking for everyone’s views to make sure all voices are heard.

You can make a submission or complete a community survey.

We are are currently preparing a new Disability Access and Inclusion Plan.

This will guide SAPOL over the next four years to help improve the accessibility of our services and facilities for people with disability.

Whether you are:
➡️ Someone with lived experience of disability;
➡️ A family member of someone with disability;
➡️ A carer of someone with disability;
➡️ A service provider, supporter or an advocate for someone with disability; or
➡️ Someone from the wider South Australian community with an interest in the topic.

We would like to hear about your stories and lived experience.

Kats Parker met Dr Anna Galanopoulos last week to have a look at the 262 building.

Anna is an opthalmologist, and she is the new owner of the 262 building.

Some good news - Anna will be at SA Deaf Fest! We will host a round-table discussion about the future of 262 (now 261). The community can ask questions, share stories, and work collaboratively to ensure the building's history is embedded in its future.

Anna will be sharing her plans for the building, and is committed to honouring 262's heritage 🤟
