On the weekend we ran the Melbourne Marathon! 🏃‍♀️

Massive congrats to everyone who got out there – it’s such a huge mental and physical challenge. Seeing people powering through 5, 6, even 7 hours on course… seriously inspiring 🙌

This was my second marathon (the first one was pre-naturopathy days) – what a difference it makes applying everything I’ve learned since studying and practicing in this space. I actually enjoyed the run this time around.

Running with friends + having RunDaye Coach in our corner was a game changer too.

Next mission is to sort out this chafe situation 🤗

😩Parenthood in the baby + toddler years is intense.

🥸So many mums I’ve spoken to recently are carrying stress, fatigue, brain fog and anxiety—and feeling like they have to smile through it. 😵‍💫

💪🏽There are supportive, evidence-based naturopathic tools to help you feel calmer, more grounded, and more you again.

🧑🏻‍⚕️Some supplements and herbs can affect breastmilk, or interact with medications like antidepressants or thyroid meds.

👩🏽‍⚕️That’s why I tailor support specifically to you—taking into
account whether you’re breastfeeding, on meds, or managing other health conditions.

🧡Safe, gentle, and effective support is possible. 🙂

Short answer = no.

Whole foods are your best source of nutrients.

However, certain situations such as pregnancy, vegan diets, disease, or older age can justify targeted supplementation.

Please note: supplements aren’t risk-free.
There has been a lot in the media lately regarding adverse effects of supplements.

Check-in with a qualified naturopath or nutritionist before taking any nutritional supplement.

The good news? There’s support!
From targeted probiotic strains to breastfeeding support and natural care for GBS and mastitis — small shifts can make a big difference for you and your baby.

No white coat, just real conversation and compassionate care.

Soon to be offering face-to-face consults too.

😊 We’ll take 60 minutes to dive deep into your health history, lifestyle, and wellness goals.
😊 I’ll ask about your sleep, stress levels, digestion, energy, cycle — the whole picture.
😊 Together, we’ll explore the root causes of what’s going on, not just the symptoms.
😊 You’ll leave with a clear, personalised plan and feel heard and supported.

🌿 My approach is all about listening deeply, meeting you where you’re at, and supporting you with natural, sustainable solutions.

🤍 This is a no-judgment zone. Come as you are. I’m here to help you feel your best.

Perimenopause isn’t talked about enough — and too many women are left navigating it alone.

I’ve been diving into new research and approaches that are changing the way we support this important phase of life.

🌿 You CAN find relief — and it doesn’t have to mean going on HRT.

From better sleep to fewer hot flushes, there are effective natural therapies that work with your body, not against it.

✨ I’m especially excited about new oestrogen receptor modulators — they enhance oestrogen function without adding more hormones.
This means improved symptom support, naturally.

🌿 Current supplements list as a naturopath who is breastfeeding and running 🌿

💪 Magnesium with Bs – magnesium is a lifesaver for muscle recovery, stress relief, and supporting my overall energy levels. The B vitamins are essential for energy and brain function (though my baby brain may be here forever).

🍼 Breastfeeding Multivitamin – Keeping nutrients in check for both me and my little one.

🌱 Qiara Breastfeeding Probiotic – Always on hand, especially when there’s a hint of mastitis. Lately, I’ve been relying on it to help prevent mastitis from broken skin from my little babe’s teething bites (excruciating).

🍄 Mushroom Capsule – Immune support, stress support, energy, and endurance all in one. I was burnt out recently, so using this to help build my resilience back.

💧 3-4L of Water – Hydration is KEY. I make sure to drink plenty of water every day and through the night, adding a splash of lemon juice and a pinch of salt to improve absorption. Proper hydration is essential for a strong milk supply. You can’t pour from an empty cup.

🍵 Weleda Lactation Tea – To encourage my milk supply.

WHAT YOU CAN’T SEE:

🩸 Iron – Iron levels can drop during pregnancy, breastfeeding and running. I take iron to keep my energy levels up and to avoid any deficiencies.

🍫 Chocolate – More essential than any other supplement. Woweeee this is so important in my day.

My supplements change over time, depending on blood results, what I’m doing and how I feel.

Always seek advice before self-prescribing.

You may have a HORMONAL IMBALANCE.

There are several signs and symptoms that can indicate hormonal imbalance in women.

Hormonal imbalances, especially with progesterone, estrogen, and thyroid hormones, can interfere with conception.

If you’re experiencing any of these symptoms, it may be time to consider consulting with a naturopath to get a better understanding of what’s going on.

Your hormones can be tested at home (via saliva testing). The analysis can explain to us what is going on at the tissue level, rather than what is circulating in your bloodstream.

If anything is out of balance and you’re suffering, particularly with infertility, we can create a personalised approach to help balance them.

Having the right support team around you during pregnancy can make ALL the difference. 🩺🤰

A healthy pregnancy takes a collaborative approach, with different practitioners bringing their expertise to each stage. Your treatment plan should evolve each trimester, adapting to hormonal shifts, physical changes, nutritional demands, foetal needs, and preparing for birth.

As a registered Naturopath, I’m here to support you through it all. But you may also benefit from working with other specialists like a Physical Therapist, Acupuncturist, Psychologist, Certified Childbirth Educator, Lactation Consultant, or a specific OB/GYN or Midwife.

Let’s create a plan that supports you and your baby every step of the way.

I get this question more than any other.

💭 What’s the best prenatal?

It’s definitely not that generic one from Chemist Warehouse! 😬 That formula doesn’t reflect the latest in nutritional research.

When preparing for pregnancy, we want to optimise everything—from fertility to the health, growth, and development of your baby. 🌱 To give both you and your little one the best chance, it’s essential to choose a quality prenatal multivitamin with nutrients in forms that are easily absorbed by the body. 💊

My go-to prenatal brands are Eagle and Orthoplex—they’re top-tier for bioavailability. I also love pairing them with a high-quality omega-3 supplement if your diet’s lacking in that area. 🐟

📊 Blood work is key! Make sure you’re getting regular tests to identify and address any deficiencies. Common ones I see are iron and vitamin D, both crucial for fertility and healthy pregnancy outcomes.

👩‍⚕️ Always consult a specialist in nutrition when seeking advice on prenatal vitamins and diet. A qualified and experienced naturopath or nutritionist can make all the difference in your journey to pregnancy.

For optimal results, both women and men should start prenatals at least three months before trying to conceive. Did you know it takes 3 months for an egg to mature and around 3-4 months for s***m to become healthier? ⏳

Let’s make sure you’re getting all the support you need!

📅 DM me or book your consultation via the link in bio.

If you’re dealing with any hormonal imbalances or fertility challenges, let’s tackle them together! 🤝
