I wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who helped bring this clinic space together. It’s turned into such a calm, welcoming place and I’m really looking forward to seeing clients here and helping people feel better 🌿

It’s been a long time coming—something that’s always felt like it was “in the near future.” Doing it with kids in the mix added to the juggle, which makes seeing it finally come together even more special.

I’m really grateful for all the tradies, architects, and friends who helped along the way. There’s a lot of you! And a special thanks to Ando —couldn’t have done it without youuuuu! 🥰

Recurring thrush can be frustrating, and it’s often a sign your vaginal environment is out of balance.

Topical treatments may help short-term, but long-term relief comes from:
✨ Supporting healthy flora
✨ Balancing pH
✨ Addressing underlying triggers

Let’s treat the cause, not just the symptoms.

The majority of clients I support are navigating fertility or preparing for pregnancy—but one of the biggest misconceptions I see is the idea that there’s a “perfect” protocol that works for everyone.

Each treatment plan I create is completely individualised. Because your body is unique—and your fertility is influenced by so many interconnected factors, from hormones and gut health to stress, nutrition, and even your environment.

This is why personalised care is so important. It allows us to look at the full picture and support your body in a way that’s aligned with you.

☀️ Vitamin D for babies is something many parents are only just learning about—and you’re not alone if it’s new to you.

🤱🏻Current guidance recommends 400 IU daily for breastfed infants from soon after birth, while formula-fed babies usually meet needs if having ~1L per day.

👶🏽Direct infant supplementation is often more effective than relying on maternal dosing alone.

🦴 Consistent vitamin D support plays an important role in healthy bones, immune function, and overall growth.

For personalised support, always check in with a qualified naturopath. 🙂

Before supplements, focus on the foundations for preconception and pregnancy 🤍

These simple habits create the environment for a healthy pregnancy.

Start with the basics:

🥗 Nourishing diet – whole, nutrient-dense foods.

💧 Hydration – Water supports
circulation, nutrient delivery
and overall health.

🍷 Alcohol – Reducing or avoiding alcohol
can support egg quality
and healthy fetal development.

🌿 Reduce toxin exposure – Be mindful of: plastics, pesticides, fragrances and household chemicals.

💤 Sleep – Prioritise restorative sleep. Bypass this one if you already have young babies!

🧘 Stress – supporting your nervous system helps to regulating cortisol and reproductive hormones, which can improve ovulation, menstrual regularity, and overall fertility.

🚭 Smoking & substance exposure - avoid these to support egg and s***m quality, placental health and fetal development.

Once these foundations are in place, supplements can be helpful — but they should be individualised.

Seek guidance from a qualified practitioner to determine what your body actually needs.

Healthy pregnancies start with strong foundations.

🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Preconception care should also include the partner.
S***m quality is strongly influenced by these foundations.

2026 is the year of fertility health! ✨

(this is not a personal pregnancy announcement 🙃)

TTC has been a big theme in clinic lately! This year is going to be a big and exciting one 🤍

I’ve been updating my knowledge about preconception nutrition and advanced hormone investigations — because preparing the body before conception matters more than most people realise.

✨ Did you know?
You should start preparing your body at least 3 months before TTC — but 6–12 months is even more optimal for hormone balance, nutrient stores, and egg & s***m quality.

If starting or growing your family is part of your future plans, you can begin supporting your fertility today.

I’m here to create a personalised preconception plan with you — just reach out.

Anyone who is local to Port Fairy will be able to have face-to-face fertility consults within the next couple of months 🤗

Did you know?

Herbal analgesics such as White Willow Bark, Devil’s Claw, Boswellia, Curcumin, & Ginger have documented anti-inflammatory and pain-modulating properties and are commonly used in naturopathic practice.

Did you also know?
Salix alba (white willow bark) inspired aspirin.

A reminder that modern analgesics have their roots in herbal medicine 🌿

Fast pain relief like NSAIDs can be helpful (I use them too), but frequent or long-term use may significantly affect gut health, nutrient absorption, and kidney or liver function.

Naturopathic care supports safer pain relief and addresses the root causes—inflammation, hormones, gut health, and stress—so relief doesn’t come at the cost of your long-term health.

DID YOU KNOW?
Because I didn’t until recently…

Around 70% of a man’s testosterone is produced during deep, restorative sleep, with levels peaking early in the morning 🌅. Skimp on quality sleep, and your testosterone levels take a hit.

🍺 Beer unfortunately isn’t helping low testosterone levels either. Hops are loaded with phytoestrogens, plant compounds that mimic estrogen and can throw your hormones off balance.

There are many naturopathic treatment options for low testosterone, depending on the cause.

🌿 Pregnancy vs. Breastfeeding Nutrition.

We all know nutrient needs go up during pregnancy — but did you know they can increase even more during breastfeeding?

Postpartum, your body is working hard — and if those rising needs aren’t met, it’s easy to become depleted. This can impact energy, mood, recovery, and milk supply.

Nutrients like choline, DHA, zinc, and fluids are especially important during this time. Other nutrients such as vitamin A, iodine and vitamin C should also increase.

✨ These are general guidelines. Your individual needs will vary depending on your health, lifestyle, or level of exercise.

A personalised approach to nutrition needs to be adopted.

💚 Always work with a qualified practitioner to create a plan that supports you.

Focus on diet first, then supplement if necessary.

Note: pregnancy nutritional needs vary depending on the trimester.
