This morning, Parkes Medical Imaging proudly hosted our very first Pink Ribbon Breakfast, and what a wonderful morning it was! 💗

A huge thank you to all the incredible health professionals & reception staff who joined us and generously donated in support of breast cancer awareness and research. Your kindness and community spirit made our first event such a success.

CT images are reversed because they are taken from the patient's perspective, not the viewer's.

So, if you're looking at a scan of a person lying on their back, the right side of the image is actually their left side. It's like you’re seeing them through a mirror, which is why the image is “flipped” from your perspective. This helps radiologists accurately interpret the scans based on how the body is actually oriented during the procedure.

It can feel a bit disorienting at first, but it's all about getting the most accurate information!
