Here at Big Al’s Contracting we support the great work that “Mates in construction” do in our industry and with fly the flag day last week we had a reflection on what it means to look out for one another.
We also support Trademutt and TIACS and the work they do around breaking the stigma of mental health in our industry. Their message is all about stating a conversation hence the bright colours and crazy designs on their apparel it forces people to ask why and then a conversation starts.

If I can ask just one thing from you all is that you have a conversation with someone around you that you may have noticed isn’t doing so well especially in the unprecedented times that we are in. In turn if you are struggling please reach out for some help, I am available 24/7 and am willing to listen, point you in the right direction or help in any way that I can. Also the groups I have mentioned about have help lined you can contact direct.

But if a sad day today for Big Al’s Contracting. My baby of the last 14 months and about 4500hrs if it’s life has bid us farewell!!!! I’m not usually one to get emotional over machinery but when you have spent so much time on one it gets a bit hard to say goodbye!!!

But when one leaves a new one takes its place so stay tuned!
