Our new tool to supports Children's healing and connection. Despite the growing body of knowledge in trauma-sensitive approaches, there can be a tendency to rely on behavioural assessments, which can unwittingly characterise traumatised children and young people as the problem.

MH Nurses Association of Australia...a new voice

Mental Health Nurses Association of Australia is a newly established Association developed to ensure primary mental health nurses are truly heard and represented. It is being led by a core group of experienced mental health nurses who wish to ensure mental health nursing becomes visible and therefore viable.

After much time deliberating and watching the current landscape, a large group of us have decided to step forward and shape what we need from a representative body. We have commenced establishing an independent Association that will focus on mental health nurses across all sectors, with a specific initial focus on primary care. It will be independent organisation, however in the initial stages, APMHA HealthCare will support its establishment through their team and infrastructure.

So we are inviting you and your colleagues to join us to help develop this new Association. We need you, your ideas, your passion and your vision.

Do you want change? Are willing to put up your hand to assist us in driving the future of this member based organisation?
