Navigating Your Prostate Cancer Treatment Options – Navigate Trial
Low risk prostate cancer often grows slowly or not at all, yet men faced with this diagnosis report more difficulty making a treatment decision than any other cancer clinical group.
Participants needed!
The Navigate clinical trial needs participants to take part in a study assessing a new on-line tool designed to help navigate their treatment options.
Who is this study for?
Men who have been diagnosed with low-risk prostate cancer within the last three months. who are still deciding on their treatment options.
And one treatment option includes Active Surveillance (to be confirmed with your doctor).

Every year for 11 years David Hawe booked a regular check-up with his GP. It became the annual doctor’s visit, one which he vowed to do after turning 50. But 18 months ago, the 62-year-old was referred to Cabrini urologist Professor Mark Frydenberg after his GP noticed a significant rise in his Prostate Specific Antigen levels. Luckily for Mr Hawe, an early diagnosis of prostate cancer has meant his world hasn’t be turned upside down. Every year in Australia almost 20,000 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer. So Cabrini has teamed up with Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre as one of the trial sites for Navigate – an online resource for men diagnosed with low risk prostate cancer.
