We feel it
As a provider of allied health services into RRR australia we see and feel the lost of our colleagues from our communities

In small rural towns, spending on private allied health is now 80% lower than in metropolitan areas - a stark reflection of how thin the workforce has become
This isn’t just about numbers on a spreadsheet. It means:
⚠️ Fewer physios to support recovery after injury or surgery.
⚠️ Fewer psychologists and counsellors to help manage stress and mental health.
⚠️ Fewer podiatrists, dietitians, occupational therapists and speech pathologists - key roles in preventing chronic conditions from worsening.
When access to allied health disappears, so does the chance for early intervention, rehabilitation, and long-term wellbeing.
Behind every missed appointment or months-long waitlist is a person in pain, a child missing school, or an older Australian losing independence. If we want equitable health outcomes, we must urgently rebuild and retain the allied health workforce in rural Australia - not just fund hospitals in crisis.
