CWHC - Cumberland Women's Health Centre A non-profit community based organisation providing women's health and DV response services These areas still remain the focus of the Centre today

Cumberland Women’s Health Centre (CWHC) is a non-profit community based organisation which was established 26 years ago to provide women’s health services and domestic violence specialist response services to women in the Parramatta, Holroyd, Auburn and Hills area. When the Centre first started in the early 90’s focus was placed upon providing services surrounding anti-violence towards women (particularly domestic violence), support for new and emerging groups within the community and activities for the elderly. The Centre recognised these areas as ones where there were gaps in service provision, especially with the provision of crisis assistance in the 4 Cumberland regions.

On behalf of the Parramatta Cumberland Family & Domestic Violence Prevention Committee, we would like to invite you to our 16 Days of Activism Forum on Monday 1st December, located at The Holroyd Centre, Merrylands.

This years theme is Unite to End Digital Violence Against All Women and Girls.

As technology increasingly shapes how we live and connect, it also creates new spaces for abuse to occur.

This forum will bring together community leaders, advocates, experts, and victim-survivors to shed light on the realities of digital abuse. Together, we will explore practical solutions, preventative measures, and support systems that can help create safer, more respectful online environments for all women and girls.

This is a free event, but please RSVP at your earliest convenience. We expect to send out invitations to those who have RSVP'd in the next coming weeks.

RSVP through the link in our bio, or online through our website, www.cwhc.org.au

If you need assistance or have any questions please don't hesitate to reach out to them team on (02) 9689 3044.

R U OK?

If you don't already check in with friends, family, colleagues and yourself - then today is the perfect day to send that message, make that phone call or knock on that door and ask, are you okay?

Checking in with people we care about and love is about creating open and safe spaces for them to feel heard and supported. A worry shared, is a worry halved.

There are plenty of ways to ask the question - if you are unsure, use one of our suggested conversation starters.

Send this post to someone you want to ask, R U OKAY? πŸ’œπŸ’›

This Women's Health Week (), together we are championing how to say yes to ourselves!

How to say yes to our own needs, our own wellbeing, our own health.

A part of self care is practicing how to prioritise your own comfort, safety and welfare, not because everyone says so but because you truly understand and believe that you are worth your time, care and patience (which you are of course!).

If you need that extra push to prioritise your health, there are a couple more spots available in our new tapping for self care workshop. A great way to come together with other women to practice a new way of calming and self-soothing.

Head to the link in our bio for more information and registration. Otherwise, please call us on (02) 9689 3044 πŸ’œπŸ’›

This Women's Health Week, we wanted to ask our service users how they prioritise and check in with their health and wellbeing - how they 'say yes'.

Clients shared a lovely range of ways they say yes to their health, whether it be by booking a doctors appointment, eating healthy food, or staying connected with friends and family.

It's important to show up for yourself πŸ’œπŸ’›

This Women's Health Week SAY YES TO YOU πŸ’œπŸ’›

It starts with small changes, saying yes to going for a walk, saying yes to slowing down for your mental health, saying yes to a yummy nutritious meal, saying yes to checking in with your physical health at the doctors - saying "YES I do deserve to prioritise and look after my wellbeing. YES I am important and I am worthy of my time and care!"

This week we are especially championing women's health, we are championing YOU!

How will you say yes to yourself today?
