Last weekend the Teen group spent some time together in the office chatting about the past week and sharing some snacks and laughs. We discussed all sorts of fun and interesting topics including space, games and the latest teen slang! We ended by spicing things up with a fun social deduction game called ‘One night werewolf’ where the group had to try unmask each other’s special roles and find out who was secretly a werewolf. Group members range from year 7- 9 and run fortnightly on a Saturday.

This week in Cheers group we dove into creating our very own vision boards. As a group we discussed our dreams, hopes and goals for the future and then everyone spent some time individually putting their thoughts on to paper. From words to pictures to drawings… everyone had a unique way of expressing themselves and it was a lot of fun seeing each vision board come alive. Group is for school leavers and beyond and runs fortnightly on a Saturday morning.

Thank you Stacey for coming and having a yarn with us. We thank you for sharing your gift, your stories and taking the time to answer our questions. We spent the afternoon creating an artwork together, Robbie included.
Stacey will take our work away and bring it all together.
You will see it in our waiting room soon.
We will be making a second painting involving our clients. Stacey will then help bring the 2 paintings together. For all our clients who come to our clinic you are invited to leave a hand print on our canvas. We can’t wait for you to be part of this!!!

Our story

Our Speechify team consists of six vibrant, fun, creative and passionate speech pathologists, a therapy assistant, mentor & group leader, admin support personnel, Chief Happiness Officer and a volunteer.

Our philosophy is based on learning while having fun and connecting with others. At Speechify we work with a person’s interests and strengths in order to help them do the best they can. We believe that it is very important for us to make the process of learning as fun and easy to absorb as possible. Nothing motivates learners as much as fun does because it comes from genuine interest from within instead of pressure from others. Students are much more likely to invest extra time in the learning process if they enjoy it.
