Back to school prep mode: ON 🎒✅

For families of kids and teens with disabilities, the transition can come with a few extra moving parts. New classrooms, sensory needs and updated support plans can take a bit of planning.

A gentle way to start is to keep it small and simple: practise the morning routine once or twice, do a quick school “dry run”, and get supports organised ahead of time.

Check if any equipment or assistive technology is good to go and make sure the right people at school know what helps. 💛

We went in aiming for deep reflections.

And we delivered… mostly us forgetting how to speak. 🎬🥴

For every 10 seconds of profound wisdom, there were about 2 minutes of:
- forgotten scripts
- unstoppable giggle fits
- “Why is the mic doing that?” energy
- and at least five “Can we start again?”

Is it just us, or is the playlist hitting a little different today?

You might’ve heard “Blue Monday” called the most depressing day of the year. But fun fact: it’s not actually based on clinical science!

The term was popularised in 2005 as part of a PR campaign. The jump from downtime to full-speed can be a lot, especially with financial stress, routine changes and the pressure to start the year strong.
