Your health doesn’t depend on every day being perfect, it comes down to how you return to simple routines after being busy or enjoying a fun event 🍾🎉

Instead of thinking:

“I stuffed up. I can’t do this” or “I’ll start again on Monday.”

Try:

“I enjoyed that, and will now continue my normal routine.”

Don’t let one night, holiday or slip up derail you. Acknowledge it, and keep moving forward 🌿

Ever feel constantly exhausted, unmotivated, anxious or unable to switch off, no matter how “healthy” you try to be? 🥱

You’re not alone. And while “adrenal fatigue” isn’t an official medical term, the pattern behind it is very real. Chronic stress slowly wears down your resilience and starts to ripple through multiple systems in the body.

You might notice things like:
‼️ Feeling wired at night but exhausted in the morning
‼️ Relying on caffeine to get through the day
‼️ Getting overwhelmed easily
‼️ Brain fog or forgetfulness
‼️ Lower libido
‼️ Catching colds more often
or just feeling… not yourself

Behind the scenes, your cortisol balance can become disrupted, blood sugar becomes harder to regulate, your thyroid may slow down, hormones shift around, inflammation starts to rise, and sleep becomes light or broken. Over time, your body simply can’t keep up with the constant “go, go, go.” 🏃‍♀️

The good news?

You can absolutely support your system back into balance by calming the stress response with adaptogenic herbs, replenishing key nutrients like magnesium and B vitamins, improving sleep cycles, stabilising blood sugar, and bringing in lifestyle strategies that help your body feel safe again 🌿

If you’re tired of feeling tired, wired or wiped out, this might be your sign to tune into what your body’s been trying to tell you — and get the support you deserve!

Bloating is one of the most common symptoms seen in clinic, yet it’s often dismissed as something you “just live with” 🤷‍♀️

But persistent bloating is your gut signalling that something isn’t quite right.

Common causes of bloating:
❌ Food intolerances (dairy, gluten,etc.)
❌ Low stomach acid or poor enzyme output
❌ SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth)
❌ Dysbiosis (imbalanced gut bacteria)
❌ Constipation
❌ Stress (affecting digestion)

If your belly seems to bloat no matter what you do, it’s time to find out why.

With root-cause investigation, we can help identify what’s really underpinning your bloating and support healthy digestion with:
🌱 Targeted herbs for digestion
🌱 Probiotics or antimicrobials
🌱 Enzymes or bitters to assist food breakdown
🌱 Individualised dietary changes

Bloating is common, but not normal… and you don’t have to put up with it!

If this sounds like you, we’d love to help you find what’s driving it and get you back to feeling your best self

Say hello to our favourite salad 🥗🥦

This superfood salad is a staple in our clinic family and is a Jamie Oliver specialty.

Want to try it before you make it? Head down to our friends in Pascoe Vale where you’ll find it prominently on their menu! 📖

Ingredients (for 2 people)
👉 1 small–medium sweet potato, chopped into small chunks
👉 Pinch dried chilli flakes, ground coriander & cinnamon
👉 Extra virgin olive oil
👉 ~ 70 g quinoa, cooked
👉 ~ 100 g broccoli
👉 Large handful of spinach, per person
👉 A small handful of mixed nuts, unsalted
👉 ½ a pomegranate
👉 Juice of 1 lime
👉 Splash of balsamic or red wine vinegar
👉 Small handful of alfalfa
👉 Small handful of fresh coriander
👉 ½ ripe avocado

Method:
1️⃣ Preheat oven to 200°C (fan-forced). Toss sweet potato with olive oil, a pinch each of chilli flakes, ground coriander and cinnamon, salt and pepper, and roast for 15–20 minutes or until crisp and golden.

2️⃣ Cook the quinoa in salted boiling water per packet instructions. Meanwhile, chop the broccoli into small florets, halve and thinly slice the stalk. Steam over the quinoa pot for 2–3 minutes until just tender.

3️⃣ Once quinoa is cooked, drain and rinse under cold water. Allow quinoa, broccoli, and roasted sweet potato to cool.
Lightly toast the mixed nuts in a dry pan, then coarsely crush.

4️⃣ Halve the pomegranate and squeeze out a bit of juice into a bowl. Add extra virgin olive oil, lime juice, and a splash of balsamic vinegar. Whisk to make the dressing, then season to taste.

5️⃣ Toss the broccoli and alfalfa/spinach in the dressing, then add the coriander, quinoa and sweet potato. Combine thoroughly.

6️⃣ Serve with chunks of avocado, sprinkle over the pomegranate seeds and crushed nuts. Enjoy on its own or with some grilled chicken.

✨ Benefits: High in protein, high fibre, gluten free, dairy free, anti-inflammatory, a good source of healthy fats, satiating & delicious

Sleep Hygiene & Deep Rest 🛌 😴

Poor sleep and fatigue is one of the most common things we see in clinic! Quality sleep is one of the most powerful tools for healing, and it’s something many of us take for granted…

Did you know that poor sleep can impact:
💤 Hormones
💤 Gut function
💤 Stress resilience
💤 Inflammation
💤 Weight regulation

But the good news is, simple habits can make a huge difference to not only the quantity, but also the QUALITY of your sleep.

By making the following part of your everyday routine, you’ll be well on your way to sleeping and feeling better:
 • Consistent bedtime & wake time (7 - 9 hours of sleep… no exceptions!)
 • Reducing blue light (try blue-light blocking glasses & changing the settings on your devices at night)
 • No caffeine after midday
 • No screen time 30 minutes before bed

Doing all the right things but sleep is still alluding you? 😪 Talk to us today about how targeted naturopathic remedies can help.

Your Body Is Communicating 📞

Symptoms aren’t random — they’re information.

Fatigue, bloating, headaches, skin flare-ups or low mood are often signs your body is asking for support, not silence 🌿

Instead of pushing through or masking symptoms, functional medicine asks:

Why is this happening?

When you listen to your body early, healing becomes much simpler.

Don’t ignore your symptoms, talk to us today! 👋

🤷‍♀️ It BOGGLES us that many people still don’t know that hormonal issues like PMS, PCOS, acne, perimenopause changes, painful periods, low libido, and mood shifts are DEEPLY CONNECTED to what’s happening in the gut, nervous system, and inflammatory pathways.

🚨 LADIES! Your hormones don’t operate in isolation - they respond to stress, inflammation, nutrient status, blood sugar stability, and how well you’re ovulating each cycle.

A naturopathic approach focuses on restoring balance from the inside out by supporting:

🌿 Healthy ovulation – because regular, robust ovulation is essential for balanced progesterone and smoother cycles

🌿 Stable blood sugar – preventing energy crashes, cravings, irritability, acne, and hormone dysregulation

🌿 Lower inflammation – reducing pain, skin flare-ups, bloating, heavy periods, and mood symptoms

🌿 Healthy gut function – so your body can eliminate excess hormones rather than recirculating them

🌿 Nutritional & herbal support – to replenish key nutrients (like magnesium, iron, B vitamins, zinc, iodine) and gently nudge your hormones back into harmony

When these foundations are supported, symptoms often ease naturally, because you’re addressing the ROOT CAUSE, not just masking what your body is trying to communicate.

If you’re dealing with hormonal issues or simply feel “not quite yourself,” you don’t need to navigate it alone. Send us a message, we’d love to support you toward feeling balanced again ❤️
