✨Today, Royce Manor came alive with the vibrant spirit of Diwali! Themed decorations lit up every corner, our wonderful staff dressed in stunning traditional Indian attire, and the air was filled with the aroma of a delicious Indian lunch topped off with sweet treats.

Last week, we kicked off our weekly morning teas with residents and staff to explore the new Strengthened Quality Standards ahead of the Aged Care Act coming into effect on 1 November.

Today’s focus: Standard 2 – The Organisation

We even dressed in green to match the theme! 💚

On World Gratitude Day, our residents and staff shared what they’re most grateful for, writing each thought on a petal. Together, the petals formed vibrant flower collages, filling our walls with colour and heartfelt words. 🌼✨

☕✨ This morning, The Royce team and our residents came together for our very first morning tea introducing the new Strengthened Quality Standards, which will commence with the new Aged Care Act on 1st November.

In Week 1, we explored Standard 1: The focus is on the Individual.

We look forward to continuing these conversations each week as we embrace the new standards together.

💛 World Gratitude Day 💛
Today, we pause to reflect on what we’re most thankful for here at The Royce. We are grateful for our incredible staff, who work tirelessly to ensure our residents feel supported, comfortable, and cared for each day.

And of course, we are grateful for our many residents and the wonderful community we have built together at The Royce.

Dementia Action Week was filled with moments of creativity and togetherness for our residents. It was a full week and a great way to connect and raise awareness. 💙

This week marks the beginning of Dementia Action Week 2025. This year’s theme “Nobody can do it alone” is a powerful reminder that people living with dementia, along with their families and carers, need strong networks of support. ❤️
This week, The Royce is hosting basket weaving, clay art, painting, and a memory walk — activities that inspire creativity, stimulate the brain, and strengthen community.

Dementia Action Week is a major leadership, awareness and advocacy campaign led by Dementia Australia as the peak body for people living with dementia, their families and carers.
