Over Thursday, Friday, Saturday and today, Josey has been soaking up some amazing professional development on Polyvagal Theory and Embodied Sensory Motor Relational Intervention presented by the incredible Tracy Stackhouse.

Her OT-brain is happily buzzing with new ideas about regulation, safety and connection — and she’s excited to weave what she’s learned into the way she supports children and families in her practice.

From the bottom of my heart — THANK YOU, Jackie.

This week marks 10 years of Jackie’s service at Playful Stages Occupational Therapy!!

Jackie was there when we had just one tiny room on the Broadwalk Arcade. She was there for the big leap to Woodriff Street, and again when we moved into our current space on York Road. Through every stage of our growth, Jackie has been a steady, compassionate, and generous presence. She is always willing to jump in and help and she ALWAYS give her very best to the families we serve.

She has brought so much to our team: incredible clinical knowledge, warmth, wisdom, gentleness, fierce advocacy for kids, a sense of humour, and a huge heart.

The thing I am most grateful for is that she’s not just my colleague, she’s my friend. She is a sounding board to share ideas, a calm in the chaos, and someone I’ve learned so much from.

Jackie, I am so deeply grateful for your loyalty, your knowledge, and your care for the children, for their families, and for all of us who work beside you.

Ten years is an extraordinary milestone. And I know I’m not the only one who is thankful for you, our families love and appreciate you just as much as we do.

Here’s to you, Jackie and to everything you’ve given Playful Stages over the last decade. We are so lucky to have you.

I want to welcome Anna to our team. Anna is going to be working alongside the OT's as an Allied Health Assistant. We are very excited to have her on board.

A little bit about Anna in Anna's words...

I am currently studying a Bachelor of Speech Pathology at Western Sydney University. I am driven by a strong passion for supporting children's communication and developmental growth. With years of experience working with children, I love guiding and encouraging children as they learn and thrive.

My dedication to helping children reach their full potential began at my dance studio, where I witnessed firsthand the impact of positive reinforcement and tailored support. This passion has only deepened throughout my studies, reinforcing my commitment to working alongside families to empower children early in their lives.

Upon completing my degree, I plan to specialise in paediatric speech pathology, working in clinical or educational settings to help children develop the confidence and skills they need to succeed.

I am so excited to begin working with Playful Stages Occupational Therapy, helping children reach their full potential.
