A Perfect Moment for our Mum's! 😍👠🌹💐🌺
Today we hosted our Mother’s Day High tea inviting families to join their loved one to enjoy a performance from our amazing resident choir!
After the performance, the kitchen prepared a beautiful high tea for us to all to enjoy some precious time together. It was such a lovely morning!

This week, we came together with our residents and staff to honour and remember at our ANZAC Day Commemoration Service.

With red poppies proudly worn, the service was an opportunity to reflect, share stories and pay tribute to those who have served and sacrificed.

We were honoured to be joined by CEO, Graeme Prior, along with our guest speakers Mark Howell (Penshurst Sub-branch Vice President), Stephen McDowall (Commodore Retired, Royal Australian Navy), and our very own resident, Gwen Mayday.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to such a special and moving service. 🌺

⭐ International Women's Day 2026 ⭐

This year, we asked some of our female staff how their roles were influenced by being women. Empathy, nurturing and compassionate care were the messages we heard loud and clear, as our staff shared how for many, being aged care workers was more than a job; it's a calling.

This year's International Women's Day theme, “Give To Gain”, underscores the principle that meaningful progress on gender equality requires deliberate contributions from governments, institutions and individuals.

Happy Chinese New Year! 🐴🔥
Residents at Georges Estate enjoyed celebrating the year of the Fire Horse by making paper lanterns in craft group and cooking delicious 'Chinese inspired' spring rolls. There was also a trivia event and then we all enjoyed a trip to 'China' by watching 'Mao’s Last Dancer' in the cinema. We finished the week with a Chinese New Year celebration and the resident’s enjoyed entertainment from vocalist Jessica who performed a mixture of Chinese songs.

Today we welcome the Year of the Horse, a symbol of strength, energy, warmth and forward movement.

Around all our Hall & Prior homes, we celebrate the rich cultures and traditions that make up our community. May this new year bring good health, happiness and renewed spirit to all our residents, families and team members.

A Special Valentines! 😍💋❤️
Chocolates for all! Our morning stated with the Georges Estate choir performing love songs for residents, staff, and visitors. The vibe was full of feeling and warmth as we all sang along. Later in the afternoon, the celebration continued with a feast on delicious baked camembert bites and a special Valentine’s Day mocktail. Fiona Maria sang for the residents, which was a mixture of loves songs and familiar favourites.

Lunch @ The Sailing Club 😁🍷🚣‍♀️

Today our residents enjoyed an lunch outing to St George sailing club for lunch. After lunch, we also enjoyed a trip to beautiful Dolls Point for a drive and a walk along the beach. The photos speak for themselves; the residents had a most marvellous time!
