Meet Raihana.

Raihana earned her podiatry degree in 2022, graduating with honours.

Raihana's passion for treating and caring for her father's feet as a young girl drove her to investigate the world of podiatry further.

As the eldest of four and a mother herself, Raihana excels in connecting with children particularly during her favourite type of appointments; paediatric biomechanical assessments, and ingrown toenail care/surgeries.

Proper foot care starts long before your baby takes their first steps!

1. Allow your baby to kick and wriggle their feet freely. Avoid restrictive bedding or clothing that limits muscle development.

2. Maximise time spent barefoot on safe surfaces. This sensory input is crucial for the brain connections.

3. Avoid footed onesies, tight socks, and only use shoes when necessary. Anything restrictive on the feet during this time can have lifelong consequences.

4. Wash your baby's feet daily with warm water and mild soap. Dry them thoroughly, especially between the toes, to prevent infections.

5. Cut toenails straight across to prevent ingrown toenails. Do not cut them too short. Filing regularly can be a safer alternative to cutting.
