ABOUT YOUR THERAPIST

I have lived on the Sunshine Coast since 2012, short time after relocating I changed careers from being a school bus driver to massage therapist qualifying locally in 2013. 2016 I completed Diploma in remedial massage at Q Academy. I branched out from massage a little in 2017 and found Craniosacral therapy and it’s benefits. So 2019 qualified with diploma in Biodynamic Craniosacral therapy. Following my hunger for knowledge I have delved into the world of functional health. I have a holistic approach to health and practical ways you can apply to your everyday life. Some Benefits of Massage

Massage is known as complementary therapy which is used widely in the community in the prevention and management of a range of disorders. Based on holistic principals it’s essentially practised to improve the health status of individuals. I have found regular massage is the key to managing our general well-being. As nutrient supply to muscles is increased, repairs to damaged tissue and recovery from fatigue (via lactic acid removal) can take place. Massage stimulates natural pain relief and the circulation of lymph, aiding the immune system. Massage improves all-over body functions, reduces adhesions and maintains flexibility.

Lymph to me, isn’t all about the detox it’s about the function. The regaining of vitality and giving the body on the table the ability to ‘feel’ their smart systems as a whole in a completely new way. The detox comes from the insight and the calm to the nervous system and the ability to eliminate.

Sessions are not isolated to the lymphatic system, this system just helps me understand where other systems may not be functioning well. Because people, your lymph is always working it doesn’t stop only when we die. It gets thick, it gets sticky and it get slowed in its transitions bringing with it a plethora of metabolic dysfunction, affecting nerve and blood flow not just lymph.

This requires a body as whole to be treated not just a liver detox. Lymph doesn’t require an oily massage or arrowroot powder being rubbed all over you, it requires a conversation. A conversation of remembrance.

24 years ago was the last time I went overseas.
The opportunities have been limited but one came up and I am jumping on it. At the beginning of September the girls and I are off to America for 5 weeks. Planning an adventure. 24 years ago I ended up tagging along in a u-haul truck (where I learnt to drive bigger rigs) and did a road trip across the lower 48 through British Columbia and the Yukon to Alaska. Travelling was different then I didn’t even leave the country with a phone it was all phone cards. I have a lot to learn.
Another road trip is on the cards, the creation and planning is taking shape. The nature we are to explore is resonating on a soul level.
So any friends or family in the states get in touch we may be able to cross paths. 🚐 🏔️

A reminder I will be closed for 6 weeks September through to October

Educating is a big part of my job. I like to explain the fluids that I am stimulating in the body to everyone. And why I call it a stimulation rather than a drainage. And why all ages can enjoy the benefits of a session.

The fluids I refer to are all fluids, as the lymph is not seperate to the whole, it starts in the interstitial space, in between everything known as interstitial fluid. This fluid should be clear watery fluid which has two main functions.

One side of its stream should feed nutrient rich information to the cells. When this fluid is thickened and this is the stuff, can turn to cottage cheese it applies pressure to blood vessels restricting flow, slowing transitions, creating dis-ease.
Where blood goes things heal, so if blood is compressed fluid will thicken. And it won’t be able to feed nutrient rich information to the cells nor be fully capable of its other function to pick up the cellular debris and take it into the lymphatic chains, where it turns into lymphatic fluid.

This fluid travels only one direction back to the heart where it turns back into plasma, at its lowest point of pressure.

Lymphatic sessions should be based around stimulating the movement of fluid from one space to the next. Encouraging the bodies innate pumping system. Opening up detoxification pathways. This can be heard on the table as fluids start to move around the body.

The drainage happens through your organs mostly kidneys as they have the important job of filtering 200 pints of blood a day.

But as you can see it’s not just one fluid, it’s never just lymph, a quote from a mentor “no system in the body works alone so therefore no system in the body will break alone.”

Patterns! What are they? They are designs used as a guide. When applying this to the bodies design the tensegrity in the fascia and its moulding capability lays down structure into patterns from experiences enabling movement or mobility whilst in a relationship with stability.
If these tensile patterns were not in place we would essentially be a puddle of liquid.
Everything should be held within its innate space or cavity for the expression of fluidity of movement with ease.
The tensegrity gets compromised leaking one space to another laying down structure where stability should not be. Think adhesions. Creating a pattern of behaviour for the fluids to orientate around, leading to the expression of dis-ease.
Working with the body as a whole through the lymphatic system enables these spaces to come back together.
A prime example of leaky spaces is stress incontinence. Via prolapse of bladder or pelvic floor. I receive quite a bit of feedback how woman stop p*eing themselves in awkward situations after one session.
Gut leaks into brain etc. if one space is leaking most likely all are.
Leaving the body in a patternated state of dis-ease.

More healing time is required. I have been on a very fast journey from discovery to resolution, although it’s been present for 30 years.

The photo comparison is about 4 weeks apart pre and post discovery and for the first time I have dimples and creases forming in my right cheek (left side in photo) where thickening can let go and fluid can resume.
It turns out when I was 15 I had 2 teeth pulled to make room for my wisdom to come through although when the gap closed it left a space high up in the gum. Not affecting my mouth but my eye, sinus, ear, tonsil, neck and liver as my body went into defence to find a way to orientate around its dysfunction. It did this by thickening tissues reducing blood flow and feeding back toxic load and affecting my smile. I can see it in my face as far back as when it was created.

It all came to the foreground quite aggressive in the form of an abscess, which saw me lose a perfectly good tooth, I can say the pain was enough to drive you insane. So there was no internal conflict over taking antibiotics or pain med or losing the tooth.
This was causing me systemic health issues for 30 years so I am embracing the recovery as my body is reorganising itself. And sharing this as insight into the body’s patterns of expression.

I wanted to just pop in and say thank you. I am very grateful that so many people are finding the benefits from having their lymph stimulated. This year has presented some challenging cases which has given rise to growth and better understanding of drainage pathways in the body and how to best help you.

I am currently booked out until the end of the year and not taking on new clients. I am however taking a waitlist for cancellations as it’s always a moving schedule.

Bookings for January 2025 🤯 will be open online in November 🙏
