Do you often feel like you are spinning your wheels? Feeling overwhelmed at what you need to achieve during your day, like you are constantly chasing your tail or simply feel like there is just too much on your plate???
Here are a few ideas to help when you feel like this..
β¨ Breathe β take a moment to breathe, this helps centre, calm you and it also get a nice dose of extra oxygen to flow through your body to recharge you and increase your focus.
β¨ Take some time out to re-group, to re-charge your batteries and put in place a plan. Some of our most favourite ways to do this are a lovely warm bath, a warm herbal tea, a soul recharging meditation session or even a short walk out of the office in nature.
β¨ Talk to a friend, colleague or coach; find yourself someone who can help you put it all into perspective, sometimes the brain dump is enough to get you back on track!
β¨ Move your body β this gets the blood pumping along with those feel good hormones. After a good work out your mind seems to be clearer, youβre more focused and your motivation is flowing!
β¨ Slow down & reassess what actually needs to be done? What are you trying to achieve? Sometimes when overwhelmed we can think we need to do everything when in fact if you slow down, you might realise itβs not quite as overwhelming as you once thought.
β¨ Be realistic β get out of your head! stopping going over what you think you should be able to do or what so & so can do and work out whether what you want to get done is actually physically possible for you. If itβs not, make peace that this project will take longer than once anticipated.
β¨ Chunk it down, take it step by step and plan it out. Delegate what can outsourced and put a plan in place to achieve what is required of you.
β¨ And most of all celebrate your successes πππ No matter how little or large they might be. Your brain need to associate pleasure with the success of completion. Put small milestones in place during your project and celebrate each one as you achieve them πππ
