Hellooooo I’m alive, just 🤪

Without going into details, I’ve been going through the hardest time of my life the last couple months, and socials have been the last thing on my list of priorities.

My babies, the support of my amazing inner circle, and music has been getting me through this sh*tty AF time, which is why I got this lil cutie tattooed by as my early bday present to myself. It’s my birthday on April 22nd and I honestly haven’t felt much like celebrating, but ya know, treat yo self 🤘🏼

My babies are happy and thriving and I’m focusing on taking care of them and myself, am still offering postpartum support, and working on my DJing too - expect to see a bit more of that on my grid soon!

My availability for postpartum support is very limited, so if you’re interested please reach out! I’m also taking bookings for DJing at events, so feel free to reach out if that’s something you’re interested in too 🪩

I can’t promise how active I’ll be here, but I’m going to try to ease myself back into it because a gal’s gotta eat and my work isn’t going to market itself 🤪

Helloooo friends, it’s been a minute 🤪 keep reading for a life/work update!

Things are changing a little bit over here, but the changes have been/will be very gradual because my time and energy is very limited until the kids go back to school! I’ll have both kids in full time school this year - wild! 🤯

SO, as you may or may not know, I stopped attending births just over a year ago, and am now currently focusing on postpartum support. I am still available for pregnancy/preconception support, but postpartum is where most of my bookings are currently. I’m leaning much more into my modelling and DJing lately, and loving the creative outlets! You can find my modelling work posted on my other insta, .on.lauren and you can listen to my DJ mixes on my SoundCloud, which you can also find via the 🔗 in my bio 🦋

And of course, I’m still working with as gorgeous Sunnie’s nanny on Tuesdays and Thursdays 😍 which means I’m available for doula/model/DJ work every other day of the week.

So grateful for all the support over the years I’ve been in business, especially as things change. I’m naturally a cyclical being, and am learning to embrace that and not take the endings/changes of particular eras of my life as failures!

We had two very happy kiddos today, and this mama was very spoilt too 🥹

We’re missing our fur baby, Adam West, who passed away a couple weeks ago, but we’re grateful we took one last Christmas photo with him a few weeks ago (swipe to the end to see) ❤️

It’s been more than a minute since I’ve posted here (or anywhere tbh), ooooops 🤪

Honestly, I’ve been in a bit of a dark night of the soul era lately and felt like I needed to go into hermit mode and just hide for a bit, and instead of feeling guilty about it and forcing myself to post sub-par content just to keep up with the algorithm, I’ve accepted and leaned into it.

I feel like I’ve got a bit more of an idea of the direction I want my work and creativity to go in moving forward, but I’m not quite sure how to make the changes just yet, so bear with me while I suss it out 💖

I’m also a mum in silly season hanging by a thread, as most of us are 🤪🫠

So if you’re still here, thank you so much for being patient with me and supporting me through the many, many eras I’ve been through and will continue to go through, no doubt 😂 I hope you’re doing well and I’ll keep you updated as best I can, when I have the energy ✨

Over 4 years of breastfeeding my baby girl, and over 7 years of breastfeeding in total 🤱🏻

I’m at the point now where I’m not sure which World Breastfeeding Week will be my last, so I’m always so grateful for the memories that .fox.and.co captures for us every year 🥹

This year was my first WBW breastfeeding only Tigerlily, and it was so nice to have these moments, just us two 💖

I’m about to embark on a brand new, exciting journey, and with that will come some changes to my little business.

Next week, I start working two days a week as a nanny for the most lovely couple and their beautiful little bub 🥹 I’m so incredibly grateful that this opportunity has come my way, and I know that it’ll bring so much to my own family, as well as the joy of my being able to support another family 🩷

SO, that means that my availability for pregnancy and postpartum support (during the day and overnight) will become more limited, so I definitely suggest booking ASAP if you’re pregnant and wanting to work with me in the near future, so you don’t miss out!

Society places such high expectations on new parents to have it all together and be ready to get back out in the world way too soon after birth 🫠

Go easy on yourself after having your baby, and make sure to soak in every precious moment, because the newborn stage goes by so fast 🥹

As World Breastfeeding Week comes to a close, I’d like to do a shoutout to my fellow badass breastfeeders 🤱🏻

Breastfeeding isn’t always easy, and it’s much more challenging for some than others, but we stick with it for as long as it works for us and our families. Whether that’s weeks, months, or years, it’s worth celebrating ✨

Breastfeeding comes with challenges that many have no idea about, such as tongue and lip ties, pressure from family to wean before we’re ready, difficulty pumping in the workplace, bottle refusal, judgement from others, mastitis, low supply, over supply, and many more.

If these challenges caused you to stop breastfeeding before you wanted to, it’s okay! Your journey is still worth celebrating 💖

Happy World Breastfeeding Week 2024! 🎉

I feel so grateful to have had such a positive breastfeeding journey 💖

As of next week, I’ll have been breastfeeding for 7 years straight, with just over 3 of those years being tandem breastfeeding 🤱🏻

My youngest baby is 4 years old and still enjoys a bedtime and early morning breastfeed, so I’ll be following her lead until she’s ready to stop, whenever that may be.

Thank you so much for taking these beautiful photos of us, which I’ll treasure forever 🥹

I recently had a doula date with a beautiful future mama, who isn’t ready to start trying to conceive yet, but is wanting to start preparing for her future pregnancy 🤰🏻

We discussed logistical, practical, emotional, physical, mental health, and even financial preparation to have a baby, and I offered my advice and insight into the world of motherhood that she will one day be a part of ✨

I’m such a planner and organizer myself, so I really enjoy these types of doula dates! It makes me so happy to be able to help future families prepare to expand 🥹
