This is my youngest son. Proud mum! 💗

We would like to thank Lachlan – one of our newest volunteers – for his very generous donation of 3 brand new food processors! Our volunteers are really grateful for these machines – especially since our 25 cygnets have arrived.

Lachlan is just 16 years old and is volunteering at Kanyana with the support of his mum, Dee, who asked us to share a little of his story. Lachlan is Autistic and has a rare genetic disease which causes constant chronic pain. His volunteering, while tiring, has really helped his resilience and he loves working with people that share his values, sense of community and love of animals.

Lachlan is completing his third diploma in animal studies and he hopes to one day help build a veterinary clinic that provides a friendly and safe space for pets and families, with special sensory, recovery and palliative care areas.

We really appreciate Lachlan’s contribution and we wish him all the best for his studies 🥰.
