School of breath has completed its first Breathwork Teacher Training. Spread out over the course of two weeks, 9 students immersed themselves in learning all things breath. The training looked at the fundamentals of diaphragmatic breathing, techniques to fully mobilize the diaphragm, the science behind the breath, breath techniques to either calm or energise the body and skills to safely facilitate either 1:1, small group or class style Breathwork sessions.
Students came from backgrounds of various professional domains - dentistry, physchology, corporate, counselling, nursing, naturopath, yoga teaching - and involved themselves in the course to learn extra skills for either personal development or to implement into their cohort … or to potentially move in the direction of just focusing on the breath. Either way, having such a diverse group meant that we all able to expand our knowledge even more by learning off one another.
Watching the students go through their journey reignited my passion and love for the breath and reminded me how the breath really is the gateway to wellbeing. It’s potency can be taken for granted but without it, there really is no life.
Already looking forward to running the next training - which there is a waitlist for - it will either be later this year or next year (dates to be confirmed). If you’re interested, let me know and I’ll pop your name down.
In the meantime thankful for the connections made, the experiences created and the learnings had.
Students now just have their personal hours to complete and then they’ll be signed off. Happy breathing 🫁 👃 🧘♂️
