The Prostate Clinic is designed to deliver multidisciplinary care from diagnosis to discharge, to support men through their prostate cancer journey. Prostate cancer is the most common non skin cancer diagnosed in men, but remains a confusing and often mistreated disease. Our focus allows us to manage this complex problem in the best possible way. From accurate diagnosis with prostate MRI and targe
ted biopsy, through to thorough explanation of your diagnosis with the support of Hollywood Hospital’s Prostate Cancer Specialist Nurse, we are able to give you clear advice in a way you will understand. As a clinic dedicated to prostate cancer we have built extensive experience in multiple treatment options, allowing us to recommend the treatment that is right for you and your aims. High surgical volumes have been critical to ensure the best surgical care with minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotic DaVinci Xi surgery. At the Prostate Clinic we look at you as a whole person to ensure the best possible outcomes, with routine pre surgical ‘prehabilitation’ to maximise your success and minimise complications. After surgery we offer on site sexual health services to help recover erections and have access to continence physiotherapy as needed, along with the ongoing support of our Prostate Cancer Specialist Nurse. We enjoy close relationships with both radiation and medical oncologists to facilitate multidisciplinary care as needed. Your health after cancer is also important with many men with prostate cancer having multiple medical problems, as cancer is often just one sign of a much larger problem. At The Prostate Clinic we believe that a cancer diagnosis is an opportunity to look more closely at your health. Through our partner clinic, Ionic Health, we are able to offer comprehensive medical risk assessment and interventions through our doctor, dieticians, exercise physiologists and psychologists. Many men who are concerned about cancer have Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH), a non cancerous enlargement of the prostate gland. Medical and surgical treatments are available including the greenlight laser therapy.
