When our family first met Jordyn, she was experiencing an unimaginable tragedy, having recently lost her beloved husband, Adam, the father of her unborn child…her soulmate.
Our hearts went out to her and her family; it was incredibly cruel and unfair that a young couple, recently married with their entire future planned and a baby on the way, was facing such profound grief. Instead of preparing a nursery, Jordyn was faced with arranging her husband's funeral.
Witnessing her grief and despair was difficult, yet her strength and courage throughout that time were truly admirable. There were no words that could comfort her, no answers we could give, only our love, support, and our promise to care for Adam as if he were a member of our own family.
However, from that darkness, sunshine has emerged. Today, just 11 weeks later, Jordyn, accompanied by her amazing and supportive parents, took the time to visit us and introduce us to their beautiful son, Bodhi Myles Adam Breslin. At just 11 days old, he looks just like his daddy.
A very special moment for us. Seeing Jordyn smiling with pride and already an amazing Mother. Adam’s presence was truly felt as we held his son… his legacy.
