CEREMONY SUNDAYS (PART 10): THE CONGRATULATIONS & RECESSION
Welcome to Ceremony Sundays, a video series that’ll be dropping into your feed every Sunday morning. I’ll be breaking down a typical marriage ceremony; what to expect, common pain points, tips and tricks, and little “Tina touches” that I think make ceremony an overall better experience.
This week we’re chatting about the end of the ceremony! The part in the ceremony where I wrap it all up and send you off into married life; the congratulations and recession.
In my ceremonies, I really make an intentional effort to make this part of the ceremony quite light and conversational. People are ready to party and celebrate you at this point, so I really like to change up the vibe and get everyone excited for the next part of the day!
I’ll say some nice things about you both, get everyone up on their feet, declare you as newlyweds and cue the music perfectly with your exit back up the aisle.
And of course… let’s not forget a big smooch on the way out, and perhaps even another one mid aisle for good measure!

CEREMONY SUNDAYS (PART 9): THE SIGNING
Welcome to Ceremony Sundays, a video series that’ll be dropping into your feed every Sunday morning. I’ll be breaking down a typical marriage ceremony; what to expect, common pain points, tips and tricks, and little “Tina touches” that I think make ceremony an overall better experience.
This week we’re chatting about the signing; the part in the ceremony where you sign some legal documents with two witnesses of your choice!
Now, the signing does not need to occur at this point in the ceremony. It can happen after the ceremony too! There are pros and cons to both and I always chat about what would suit each couple best at their planning meeting.
It’s a really beautiful moment, wherever it’s done in the ceremony, because you actually get a second to breathe and chat to each other and take it in.
Although the signing is technically a box ticking exercise, there are lots of ways to make it modern, memorable and meaningful.

THIS WAS ONE OF THE BEST WEDDINGS I HAVE EVER DONE
Big statement? Yes.
Deserved? Also yes.
T & L got married on their family’s beautiful farm, so this was special from the get go. A personal, private spot with the most incredible views (… I mean look at that dam and trees in the background!). I was blown away when I arrived.
They had a large crew of friends and family waiting to share the day with them. And also a healthy sized wedding party that stood by their side during the whole thing.
It looked amazing. But it FELT even more gorgeous.
This ceremony had me hooked from the get go! Some big belly laughs and guests chiming in, as well as some seriously heartfelt moments that had me, the celebrant, trying to hold back tears.
The importance of a wedding is not lost on me, despite this being my job. I feel so lucky that I get to do this as a profession, and so honoured that so many couples trust me with such a moment.
But there are weddings that I walk away from sometimes and say “I’m going to tell my grandkids about this one, one day”. And this was certainly one of those.
What a lucky, lucky lady I am.
Adore you, L & T. Please invite me to your vow renewal 😂
(Also, huge shoutout to Lauren for this spectacular photograph, and Anna for an incredible job on the florals)

AS RAYE ONCE SAID...
Baby (Woo-hoo), where the hell is my husband? (Woo-hoo)
What is takin’ him so long to find me? (Woo-hoo)
Tell him if you see him, baby (Baby), if you see him, tell him (Tell him)
He should holler
Why is this beautiful man waiting for me to get old?
Why he already testing my patience?
Wait till I get my hands on him, I’ma tell him off too
For how long he kept me waitin’, anticipatin’
And LORD did my Elliot keep me waiting!
But oh boy was he worth the wait.
In our almost two weeks of married life, Elliot and I have already been tested and have had to live up to our “in sickness and health etc etc” promises. I must admit, we haven’t really had a honeymoon phase. And after officiating three beautiful weddings this week (the first three as a MARRIED WOMAN!), I am oh so grateful for my husband. With all the curveballs thrown at us, I couldn’t have done it without him.
Shameless shoutout to you, babe - I will love you loudly, forever and ever and ever xx

OUT OF OFFICE
Just a friendly PSA that I’ll be out of office from 20.09.2025 - 03.10.2025.
All emails and DMs will be monitored during this time, however only those that are most urgent will be responded to (which will be difficult for someone with mild OCD like me who wants everything to get done immediately hehe).
I’ll be celebrating some pretty big personal and family milestones during this time, and can’t wait to give you a little snapshot when I’m back.
Current couples, please jump into my inbox this week if you need me for anything! And for any new lovers, feel free to still get in touch! I’ll send you some basic info but won’t be scheduling any meetings until after I’m back on board.
Love yas! T xx

SIGN LATER, ALLIGATOR!
Can we just take a moment to appreciate how well signing your marriage documents directly after your ceremony (rather than during) can work?!
Tess and Jack had a super modern day planned, and signing later just made sense.
There were no awkward pauses in the ceremony where people were obliged to watch the signing. The engagement of their guest was kept the whole time. AND they got to drink champas while signing after, with nobody rushing them.
Yes, a little more casual, but sooooo cool 😎 (I’m doing this for my own wedding, so you know it must work well hehe).

Me, way back when, about to perform my FIRST EVER marriage ceremony at
If I could only turn back the clock and tell this girl how wonderful this career path would be, all these years later.
Such wholesome memories 🥰

For “off season” it has been pretty busy around here.
But last weekend I was given the honour of hitching one of my best friends to her dream man and it brought me back to reality in so many ways 🥹
How lucky I am, to do what I do.
How lucky are all of us here, to have people around us living with so much love in their lives.
And how grateful we should all be, to be able to celebrate it.
So whilst posting on social media might be a little more sporadic nowadays, just know I’m out there living it for real. It has been one of the most beautiful things to come out of motherhood; not having the time to reach for my phone as often as I did.
I’m truly living the life I love.

FULL TRANSPARENCY
As I boarded the wedding planning train full of confidence (…more like cockiness) - I realised that it ain’t so easy. Like, planning a wedding is REALLY full on!
Which made me think, how can I make it better for all the lovers in Perth to book ME? I don’t want them stressing out over something I’VE done.
So, I made changes. Full price transparency. Better information online. And MAJOR updates to the “Love Gang Login” (… a secret online portal/wedding encyclopaedia that only my couples get access to).
And most excitingly, more ceremony styles to suit every budget.
To celebrate these new additions, I’m throwing out some discounts from one fiancé to another (… throw the extra money on the bar, babe!)
The first THREE couples to book a registry-style ceremony will get 10% off (…a crazy cheap $450*).
And the first THREE couples to book a micro-wedding ceremony will get 10% off too!!! (…a bargain at $891*)
For more information, head to my website https://www.tinaburicelebrant.com/ and send me an enquiry form - and of course, let me know you want the discount!
First in, first served. May the best man win 🤣
(*no rehearsals, additional travel or accomodation fees apply)

MY TWO LOVES
Elliot and Levi 🩵
I don’t think it will be news to many who know me on a personal level how deep my love runs for my (now fiancé) Elliot….
El, you are the most hilarious, giant ray of sunshine I have ever known. Thank you for loving me and lifting me up in all the ways that you do. You’re the best man I know.
And my little Levi (my goodness this is hard to write without tearing up)…
I was not prepared for the amount of love and joy you’d bring to my life. I’ve carried you in my heart for so long and you are undoubtedly my life’s greatest achievement. I am so proud of you. I love you beyond measure and I can’t wait to spend every day showing you how beautiful this life can truly be.
Happy Valentines Day 🩵
Thank you to my beautiful friend Amanda who has so graciously captured the last three years of our beautiful, little life, at the front door of our home.

Congratulations on your upcoming nuptials! I am so pleased you’ve come to my page. Your wedding day will be one of the most significant moments in your life and the sheer fact that you’re allowing me to take up some of your time to get to know a little about me is so, so special. So thank you, and let me give you a little bit of an insight into who is Tina!
I love, love. My greatest love is my family. My parents and sister are three of the most inspiring, talented, selfless and outright cool people I have ever met. My parents are musicians, and I grew up being taken to weddings all over Perth every weekend to watch them perform at ceremonies. To this day they are some of my greatest childhood memories, and I’m fairly sure their influence was one of my greatest motivators to become a Celebrant. Here is a picture of us in Jurien Bay, just before our latest adventure - a family skydive (see, we really ARE cool)!
Another great love? This incredible life and the world around us! I have been very fortunate to do some incredible travelling and when I find myself in a new place, it always gives me great perspective on the important things in life and gets me right in the feels - every. single. time.
Here’s me in 2016 at the Taj Mahal in India. Of course, this went straight on to Instagram, and damn I sure knew how to caption it;
“The Taj Mahal… a massive bucket list item of mine finally checked! Although this just isn’t a touristy snap for me. This monument, a wonder of the world, shares a magnificent story of love. Two people from the course of history who set an example for people living in the future about love. True love. And what it means. I love, love! And I sit here feeling so in love with the world around me. I feel eternally fortunate and blessed to be able to see places with the richest of histories teaching us such great lessons about what is truly important in life…”
So how did I find myself becoming a Celebrant you ask? To be honest, I’ve talked about it since I was maybe 13 or 14 years old. My passion in science and all things medical has seen me study and work in the health industry for the last eight years. If I have learnt one lesson from being in the back of an ambulance or in a hospital ward, it’s that at the end of it all – we’re only left with love. I’m incredibly passionate about celebrating your relationship, in your way, so that you remember it forever. They say that you should surround yourself with things that make you happy, and doing this gives me the warm fuzzies in droves!
