Dr. Burgess graduated from the University of Western Australia in 2015 with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). Since then, she has dedicated her career to serving the community in Broome, Western Australia, for the past four years.

Skin cancer is the most common type of cancer in Australia. But with the right precautions, you can significantly reduce your risk.

Types of skin cancer:

𝘽𝙖𝙨𝙖𝙡 𝙘𝙚𝙡𝙡 𝙘𝙖𝙧𝙘𝙞𝙣𝙤𝙢𝙖: The most common type, usually appearing as a raised, pearly bump or a flat, scaly patch.
𝙎𝙦𝙪𝙖𝙢𝙤𝙪𝙨 𝙘𝙚𝙡𝙡 𝙘𝙖𝙧𝙘𝙞𝙣𝙤𝙢𝙖: Can appear as a red, scaly patch or a raised, firm lump.
